Lot of people coming over thinking its cheap and easy to find jobs. Not the case. Housing, taxes, car plus food is very expensive. Depending on area you live in car insurance will be expensive or cheaper depending on car as well as area. House council tax bands, depends on postcode, higher band pay more. Bed room tax, insurance for property, food shopping depends on where you shop, lidl or tesco? Lidl is cheaper tesco isnt. Income tax plus NHS and national insurance, utilities bill as well. It costs a lot to survive in UK, not to live but purely to survive if you have rent/mortgage, car etc.

Hi Madam/Sir, I am in the UK now with Global Business Mobility Visa and I have a family with 3 kids ( all girls). The older one is disabled and she was malnourished when she was in India due to lack of facilities from the government etc. We are getting a lot of support from council and NHS her development and she is improving now l. My visa will be ending in July 2025, if my company is not going to extend it I will have to go back to India. So it will be difficult to take care of my daughter as she is on NG tube feeding now. NHS is going to put that tube into the stomach in a few months . I was looking for the work visa option If I can get if any, do you have any idea on this please?

Hello 4000 gbp is enough for 4 people (2 Adult, 2 Child - 14yrs & 8yrs). Which location will be good to live and and save some money.

£4000 is a decent amount to start but not in London as london is very costly. There are many small towns and cities where rent is low like Nottingham, some areas in Birmingham etc, you can check rent in websites.

It becomes complex when you buy a car. You also account for insurance. At certain point you might want to buy a house. Then the calculation becomes different. If you plan to permanently settle in UK, you need to think about pensions, ISA contributions as well.

Depends where they are shopping. £200 at aldi and lidl could feed 2-3 people for 3 weeks. Tesco asda and sainsbury morrison, this would be 2 weeks.

Any areas with High Indian communities, you can find rooms on HMO or a aunty who dont want to pay bedroom tax. Plenty of people renting rooms out.
