He cooked the bills starters. And keep in mind this is Preseason where both offenses and defenses are not giving their real looks/ plays. Everything is used to get reps in for the players to see film & study their strengths / weaknesses for oc/dc to build upon. The regular season will speak for itself
8:19 ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON!! This is the major difference. Not just arm talent but pocket awareness. Clearly Fields and Williams is a great comparison. That’s why the Bears moved on from Fields. They had an opportunity to upgrade their QB AND reset the QB salary clock
@@Jemreaux i’ve seen enough games where aaron rodgers killed teams, especially the Bears cause he was elusive in the pocket and kept his eyes down the field to get the ball to an open man. So when Caleb Williams does it, i know the Bears got a special player!! All bears fans should recognize the moves caleb is pulling off after seeing it game after game from rodgers. Have no idea how Williams will do in the pros but his ceiling is definitely one of the highest we have seen for a QB. Maybe since Burrow or Andrew Luck
The real question that everyone should be asking is what can Caleb Williams do that Kyler Murry couldn't coming out. They are basically the same type of QB. Will we be talking about Caleb's "sensitivity" in 3 years like we did with Kylers "maturity"??
As a Bears fan, we do need to realize that Caleb went 6-13 for 75 yds and a rushing TD against Cincinnati's backups. If a QB we had in the past would have done that, Shady and Joy would be lambasting him.
Yet the top three receivers for the bears only played 17-20 snaps combined. Plus, Swift and Roshon were held out. The only starters that played significant snaps was the Oline.

So he blew the first pass of the game, then he had a receiver drop right through his hands in the Bread Basket of potentially 60 yd gainer, another drop by a DJ moore, 2 others that were broken up but right on the money
Why you guys have recency bias so much? Jay Cutler while not a great quarterback had a cannon of an arm. I think Caleb is gonna be a stud but let’s not glaze.

He can’t read the defense he slow on his reads he hold the ball to long and he will become injury prone he never showed any heart in college he’s over hyped and overrated. And scouts have repeatedly said he does great in structure. When have we ever took anything in the preseason serious. 1 he hasn't went against starters 2 they aren't scheming in the preseason 3 this is just teams seeing who can finish for roster spots not much coaching going on.
I have a question. When he holds the ball too long it's cuz he was trying to make the quarterback throw or play. Nobody ever says he can't read defenses. Fields was holding the ball too long just the same way but they said he couldn't read defense. What's the difference cuz they hold the ball the same amount of time? And before y'all come yapping remember Williams was the most sacked quarterback in college last year

So his first three drives that ended in 3 and outs looked special? am I missing something? I mean if it was one drive that ended quick I’d get it but it was 3, he only looked special towards the end of the second quater playing against those who won’t have a job in a week
As a 50 year Bears fan, I agree Caleb looks like he will be great, if he looks this good as a rookie in his 2nd game, just imagine how good he will look after 8 games, or after 17 games, he will just get better. But, and this is a big but, we still have to wait and see how good he actually is, and that will take time. I think we will know by game 8, just how good he is, so I will wait until game 8 to evaluate him.
They’re super hype. It’s preseason. Let’s see real game speed. Planned defenses and take away the run option. Someone will do it. Not saying he won’t grow but hof is wild takes. D riding heavy.

Yes, we know it’s preseason and the stats don’t count, but like they said you can see the throws that Caleb is making Analyst will do what they do! But for those of you who say “pump the brakes” let me ask you this! For a quarterback who has only played one season, how can that player be the highest paid at his position???
Like I said, if Caleb is successful it will be mostly off his own talent and not the Bears front office developing him. It’s already starting to look like that.
Some people should never touch a mic, just because you played ball doesnt mean you know ball. These guys jock riding a rookie for a pass in preseason vs a 4th string CB is a new low to me. 6/13 breakdown is 7 inc. 1- 45yd pass ve 4th stringer and 6 passes that averaged 5 yds which only 1 of those resulted in a 1st down. Stop acting like clowns.
Please stop with all the Caleb Williams BS. Because apart from two nice throws (which took him an entire half to do), Caleb Williams looked absolutely awful in the Cincinnati game and did so against back-ups. And that, is just the honest truth. And yes, I'm a huge Bears fan. So let the hate begin.
He looks impressive...but a lot of the NFL comes down to clutch plays, not turning it over, keeping drives going. Not saying he can't do those things, but the amazing acrobatic throws and plays are the icing on the cake type of plays...can he play consistently, be a leader for an NFL team throughout a season, I think will be the challenge.
This isn't about what the fans or media thinks. Caleb Williams PreSeason showed the Coaching Staff and Organization that Caleb is able to play the QB1 at a High Level and that's all he needed to do. Now sit the 1's and 2''s and let the reserves play the final game.
Thank you, I thought I was high when I saw it. This dude has not even played a single snap in the real games and they are anointing him. The funny thing is these guys are involved in the game and have seen many high draft pick not meet outside expectations. Mich Tribiski, Baker Mayfield, Justin Field, T. Lawrence, Blake bortles and even Deshaun Watson just to name a few.
2 chances to see Caleb so far................and he looks good. BEAR DOWN. If Caleb turns into a superstar, Ryan Poles trade with Carolina will be legendary.
Caleb did look like the real did and it was preseason and all the defensive plays are vanilla but my goodness. As a packers fan, I’m not happy he looks like this, this early. I’m still banking on him looking good in preseason and getting rattled within the first 1-6 weeks since he’s a rookie 5:21 shiiiiet, it looked impressive to me; just taking his pocket presence and scrambling ability into consideration. He has a great foundation already smdh
Caleb gives me 2017 Wentz vibes, I think he's going to be really good but how he is in the locker room and if he can avoid big injuries will either make or break his career

I just dont get what people want? Hes shown off script big play ability. Hes shown good pocket awareness. Hes shown the ability to take what the defense gives you. Hes also extremely physically gifted. What more do you want from a QB prospect?
Shay talkin bout "Leave Patty name out of it". Man Caleb made a throw that Pat Mahomes hasn't done in the league. Caleb literally made a throw while leaping out of bounds. The ball was flowing straight along side of the sideline, remind you. The ball is flowing in the out of bounds zone. He made a guranteed throw to where nobody can deflect the ball or pick the ball off and only his receiver can get it. Only way that ball would've been contested, is if one of the defenders has to jump out of bounds to stop that ball.
@@anti-classist How the h***l can you intercept a pass when the ball is "OUT OF BOUNDS" Did you not pay attention to what I said. Even if the CB, LB got their hands on that ball, their feet has to be inbounds. This pass isn't nothing like where the ball was at the sideline and the CB picks it off and lands both feet inbounds before they step out of bounds. The ball was clearly away from the inboundry. That's pretty hard to complete an interception, when the pass is being thrown far away from inbounds. Ya know..
@@anti-classist And most QBs don't do it, because they can't. I'd say Mahomes could do it. But that's hard to make a pass while being out of bounds during inplay.
@@anti-classist Or maybe a CB could toss the ball back inbounds and another defender could pick it off. But all what I just said, is alot to do for a defense, if a pass what Caleb did is being made.
