I forgot to mention it but to reverse the process simply use a tiny drill bit and drill out the tungsten putty. It all comes out incredibly easy. Again, DO NOT use the tungsten putty for fishing. It's way too sticky and messy to work with. Use tungsten putty specifically designed for Pinewood Derby cars. It's completely dry and easy to work with 👍🏻
Some soft tip barrels are generous in space as well, I just purchased a set of Nathan Aspinall 16.5g barrels and they’re practically hollow. 21mm down the front, 19mm from the back!

Many years ago I picked up 2 sets of the Red Dragon 10g featherlite (1 each of the Scalloped and straight barrel versions) being so skinny if your able to throw them they leave a lot of space in the treble bed. Great stuff WWD 👍🏻

You might want to look at the Red Dragon Featherlite series of darts. They even have a 10g dart! Lately the price is $30 on Dartshopper. I pair mine with Medium Condor Zero-Stress slims flight system. Using the slims really helped
Great idea for a video Worldwide but i have a few questions. 1.How did Stephen get down to such an extreme weight? 2. Do you believe he actually uses them as 12g or is it more of a gimmick to sell a product? 'The player with the lightest darts in the PDC 🤑💰' Imagine the thousands of people that has bought them on that basis.
He started with 15.5 grams and ended up here somehow. There's been a handful of world champions that use 18g or less. Light darts usually don't sell very well at all so it's definitely not about the 💰💰

Great review. Interesting comments about using inserts with putty or just putty by itself to make them heavier. I like the longer points that you installed but I am still not a fan of the Swiss Point setup from Target. Yes they may be easily replaceable if they snap off but in my opinion a point should never snap off. I have never broken a steel point in 30 years but I know it happens. Probably less than 0.5% of the time. I also noticed at the end of your video that you very gingerly put the darts into the board. We’re you afraid they might snap off doing that? You might not even be conscious you did this.
Very attentive at the end of the video but the reason I did it was to show just how soft the Blade 6 board is. I've had the super firm Aspar board hanging up for a few months and that thing is like poking a brick. With the Blade 6 it's like poking butter. Hate that board by the way
Great video WW, hope you and your family are coping well. Have a couple questions about this: - What are the dimensions of the Unicorn inserts? - How much space do you need to leave for the stem threads? Haven’t quite settled on a weight yet but have a good idea of the sort of barrel I like. So I was thinking of getting a set of customs with like 15-20 mm drilled out so I can have a few different weights of the same barrel.
They are 10mm long by 4mm wide. On my scales they were 2.2 grams. You typically need about 6-7mm of room left over to screw in a stem although some stems have longer threads. For example, the Cosmo stems have this little nub on the end of them that extends a couple mm but that could very easily be sanded down. If you look at my recent Cosmo Lachesis review or the Dynasty Leonard Gates review you could easily fit two of the Unicorn inserts into the back of those darts and bump the weight by almost 5 grams or anything in-between
