@@ChaoticMeatballTV make sure to get some good shoes with a lot of cushion I would personally recommend ons or saucony running shoes. You should also be keeping track of calories while on keto. The main advantage of it is it reduces appetite by controlling blood sugar. Calories would be base metabolic rate plus your exercise. A pound of fat is about 5000 calories and it’s only healthy to drop 2 pound a week max. Don’t be discouraged if your weight fluctuates by 3 or 4 pounds it all depends on time of day and what you’ve been eating/drinking.

Super impressive! Just remember that while tracking macros can help with certain aspects, if your goal is to lose weight all you really need to pay attention to is your calories in and calories out. Also following diets that you can stick to for the rest of your life. Keto works great for some, but will you continue sticking to it for years to come? The important part is that the weight comes off and *stays* off. Keep up the good work!

@@lcolcer1 Nah I think Keto is less a fad diet over something like carnivore ( which I do). Because you have to think about how we would have ate before processed foods if anything the fad diet is our standard diets with food that was only created now. I think Keto's problem is it gets a little crazy where everything has to be perfect amounts of fat level and what not. At the end of the day listen to your body and take it slow.

I understand why this one was scrapped/put to the side, still a bit sad to see it left behind though. This video got me into being more active regarding walking, complete with taking my own Pokewalker along to count the steps and the levels. Started with a lv 2 Sentret and it's lv 21 now. I haven't been able to walk as much as I did back then, but still grab the little guy when I have a chance to.

Once you lost some pounds and got more comfortable with walking, try doing your steps outside a little. More heat + humidity = more sweating = more weightloss. Stay hydrated tho!
@joel2628
@joel2628 3 года назад
To piggy back off of this, get one of those one-gallon jugs that hours within a day stamped on it. Mine has increments of every 2 hours starting from 7AM to 9PM. It spreads out your hydration habits. Probably $26 on Amazon.
@agirlinsearchof9057
@agirlinsearchof9057 3 года назад
Sweating doesn’t have much to do with weight loss. The activities that cause greater weight loss tend to also get you sweatier, but sweating itself doesn’t cause weight loss (instead, it cools your body down). That being said, being out in the sun is good for your health if you keep hydrated, and you have more options for routes to walk. So walking outdoors is good, it just doesn’t directly cause greater weight loss.
@artiomgera6686
@artiomgera6686 3 года назад
@@agirlinsearchof9057 dude, sweating does make you lose weight. Look at the professionals doing weight cuts. That's sweat they pour out. Mostly minerals like salt and so on but there much water in the sweat which is crucial for your weight. Sure you drink water after that but a little percentage is gone after all..

@@agirlinsearchof9057 or am I wrong?
@agirlinsearchof9057
@agirlinsearchof9057 3 года назад
@@artiomgera6686 That’s mostly water weight. Admittedly, I did not account for that in my statement. But water weight was not the majority of the weight that ChaoticMeatball, or anyone looking to lose weight really, was looking to lose. He was trying to burn fat, which happens when your food intake is exceeded by the calories you burn. You can work out a lot and sweat a lot, but if you also eat to the point that your net calories (calories you ate minus the calories you burned) exceed a certain amount (dependent on your weight, height, and sex), you can end up not losing or even still gaining weight (though this would have to be a LOT if you’re regularly working out), and if you change your diet to decrease the calories you consume, without changing anything else about your lifestyle, you can lose some weight (but it only stays off if you keep up the diet). The reason you see athletes sweat a lot is because intensive exercise (in addition to burning a lot of calories) tends to heat up the body a lot. As a result, the body sweats in order to cool it down. This is why there’s a correlation but no causation between sweating and weight loss.

I don’t know who put together this diet, but you get ripped off. You don’t need powders or protein bars to lose weight. Just exercise more and cut out carbs (or at least sugar). I literally went from 100kg to 87kg in six months without exercise just by eating the right stuff (no protein bars or powders, food marketed as high protein is a rip off).
@Teamkev53
@Teamkev53 3 года назад
Intermediated fasting and keto can work wonders but you’re right you only need that stuff if you’re Lifting, sure the bars are a good enough snack but chicken and Brock can get the job done. Understanding that you don’t want to completely take flavor out of the diet because that can be very discouraging and gets hard psychologically so it better to ease out of that. My grocery list is Eggs rice chicken Brest, cold cut ham green peppers broccoli, raspberries, cheese, a bread and a few variety of snacks

Even if you fell off track for a bit, I would love to see the next one. Even if it lost some ground. (And it is super common to lose a lot on the start, and to "gain it back" right away. The trick is, it wasn't actually fat burned for 14 lbs in 1 week - that would be almost impossible. 1/2 a pound per day is crazy good.) Here's hoping that you didn't weight on at 315, and get discouraged, and stop this challenge...

I wish I was here when you started this video. I would have recommended you go outside 5 minutes a day and work yourself up. Your body acclimatizes to the heat over time. Sweat rate remains about the same, but you feel more comfortable and the body expels heat better. Also for eating, one of the best tips that no one talks about is if you are craving a food that is 10/10 flavor, Sabotage it to be 8/10 flavor. For the keto diet, this usually happens by creating a keto-friendly recipe lol. It usually helps reduce the craving without the insane dopamine spike that causes binging. Perhaps someone else might benefit from the above ideas. I Love the idea with this series. I’m super excited

But other than that solid grocery trip, I've been cleaning up my diet lately and my biggest thing has been keep it simple just sticking to lean meats and veggies will keep you fuller longer and consuming less calories! with your weight loss good luck it's a hard trip but it's definitely worth it. Hey! I enjoyed this video a lot congratulations! since I've been trying to unlock all pokewalker courses since march I've got a few tips for you that you didn't mention on the video. I don't know if you already knew them, but they weren't mentioned so there I go! First of all to reduce the amount of steps in each course to get to group A you can send to the Pokéwalker a Pokémon that is of the "Special types" of that course (you can check them in serebii and see what types are for each course), and your steps will be reduced by 25% (that's very useful for cheking what A group pokemon you got on that stroll without walking that much) Second, you can unlock more courses via wireless Pokémon event (you have to connect to a wifi network and change some setings from the DS, there's a lot of videos explaining how to acces all the events in gen4 and 5 and there's no cheats/hacking involved!) There's a lot of cool pokemon on those courses and some of them are unobtainable in the game otherwise (There's a very cool Pikachu that knows Fly f.e.) I don't know how legit you'll consider this strat, but I think watching you catch and evolve a Torchic or a Beldum will make this challenge way cooler! So yeah I think that's all, keep going with this series and have fun! I will be following it without a doubt! (Sorry if I overused some words or I didn't explain myself very well but english is not my first language)

Good job with the first week of weight loss. Very interesting idea for a Pokémon challenge and I hope you see some good results with your diet and regular exercise. Just a bit of nutrition advice, make sure you eat enough non-starchy vegetables to get in enough fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Vegetables, avocadoes, nuts, and seeds will be your best fiber sources if your going strict keto.

@@ChaoticMeatballTV I hope as the challenge progresses you end up changing your mind on this, but I really don’t want to downplay how awesome it is that you’ve started this challenge, starting is the hardest part for a lot of people and I wish you the best of luck!Also, you mentioned doing monthly videos if there is no good gameplay footage, maybe during those weeks you could make a community post or something like that mentioning level changes and steps

This challenge is badass! You totally blew me away with walking 15,000 steps a day, that is truly an impressive feat. I’m wishing you luck finding a place with lower humidity and maybe more space to do your leveling up and walking.

@@infinusyt8007 it's a lot for some people, yes. Until recently, it was uncommon for me to surpass 10k, though the one time I went to Disney i had 25k+ each day, and with working more hours over the summer, I've been getting 15-20k each day recently. But a lot of people are in school, or work in an office, or are otherwise sedentary for a good portion of the day, which makes it harder to get that many steps.

Mad respect for you doing this, it's not easy to be open about that. What matters as well is that you're doing the steps to better yourself! I've actually been trying to get on a healthier lifestyle myself, and have just started with it myself not long ago, at 260. In the time that I've been working toward it, I've already dropped 10 pounds! Honestly, I really look forward to seeing where this takes us both, and I definitely plan on checking in with future installments of this, sorta like an accountability partner sort of deal if you'd be fine with that. ps. fellow Florida person here, the heat and humidity sucks

You don't need to exercise to lose weight very fast. Eating less calories and learning how to count them is the long term solution for keeping weight off. Eating proteins and totally eliminating carbs while drinking plenty of water is way simpler. Of course getting in shape is very beneficial, and the more muscles you have, the more calories you burn, however as your body loses weight your appetite will start increasing. Eating lean meats and fish with slow burning fibers like brown rice will keep your satiated. Also, detox from junk foods and sugar. Eating fruits like bananas, apples and kiwis if you get cravings will actually help when you start getting these cravings. As you eat less, your stomach also shrinks, making the first month a hungry one, but it does get better. Good luck, and remember weight loss is about the commitment. You can become lean and thin with few months, mostly with dietary changes. Its possible to feel full and happy, but remember to be strict on yourself, and not giving up when you fall for temptations. This battle is not won in a day, but over a period of time.
