I met a guy last year and we connected so powerfully, we both felt it, and it was really intense, not even talking sexually, just on so many things we just sparked. Anyway, he started to pull away and eventually he ghosted me so I went silent. He continued to watch every single Instagram story I posted, liked photos and sometimes liked stories. I never reacted, never watched his, nothing. Then, 6 months to the day, he messages me, saying how sorry he was for what he done, that he did like and care about me but it was an impossible match, that he thought about it, and that is why he did it. I was so hurt and upset, because he was very cold and cut off with me even when trying to apologise and wanting to remain friends. I stupidly agreed, and said I was really trying to be nice here and try to be friends. Anyway, that was back in January, and since then he has not messaged me, nor made any contact, but yet he continues to watch so my stories, sometimes as soon as I post them, he likes some of them, and about a month ago, he liked a selfie I posted, and I point that out because it was specifically a selfie. He lives in a different country and now that it’s been months again since he said sorry, still no effort to talk, just stalking and watching. My heart is honestly broken because I felt something special, and I dont usually feel that way, and it had been years since I was even on a date, so it took a lot for me to show interest in someone. I don't know what to do, I know he was hurt in the past with his last relationship a few years ago, when his ex cheated on him and he took her back, but it obviously didn’t work out, so like me he was single for years (but he obviously got around a bit if ya know what I mean). I dunno, stupid part of me wants to hope but I know I shouldn’t.
