I lost 67 lbs in two months. Walked 2 hours a day (school and back), plus did squats and pushups. Drank a lot of water, and ate 5 small meals a day. No dairy. That weight dropped off so fast and stayed off.
@@sararehman3461 She already did. No dairy. 5 small meals. There is no exact or magical food to eat. Find what works for you and do the activities she mentioned that worked for her or again find what works for you.
same. I was heavily depressed for ard 6 months. I used to be very productive but then my mental health get worse and suddenly I have trouble functioning. I went to therapy, it's a slow step. But one day I tried to wake up earlier and went on a morning walk. It doesn't magically cure my depression in a day, but it makes me remember how it feels to properly function for a while. It makes me want to get better.
At least you choose to do that much walking. I do up to 8hrs of walking at work (I work at a theme park and have to walk sometimes all day if I'm on a water ride's turntable)
i started 20 days ago and already lost 8 pounds! walking on treadmill at 4km pace for an hour everyday. also my diet is much more clean and greener, more fruit and veg, no sugar, hardly any salt and no oil. i feel amazing!
"A walk a week won't do you any good" - Yes, it will. It's still better than nothing. It's a lot less effective than at least three times a week, but if once is all you can manage you should still do it.
I think the point was for folks who will walk once a week, not notice any significant change and insist that “walking doesn’t work” sorta like when people go on a diet for a week and then get angry they didn’t lose a ton of weight and insist eating right doesn’t work. Any amount of exercise is going to be beneficial but don’t expect significant results if you don’t put in significant effort.
Weight loss is in the title of this video. For weight loss it won't unless you walk for 4-6 hours on that weekly walk and the average person is just not. For health, go to another video about walking. But for weight loss which is why you're here, what they said remains.
I stopped drinking sodas and started walking more. I lost the belly in over a months time. Also I drink a lot of water. Good luck to all and have fun. " : )
Aryany Funes you are right to stop drinking soda, I had no idea how bad it was. I quit soda over 5 years ago, it was hard at first, however after 3 weeks you begin to establish habit and within about a month I didn't crave it anymore. instead I had ice cold water, hot beverages or iced tea, iced tea has about the same amount of sugar as soda, so I tried to avoid drinking it too often. I cut it because of sugar intake because a human should only have about 28g of sugar a day, anymore is unhealthy and can lead to diabetes, obesity and other health problems. 28g of sugar is about 7 teaspoons of sugar, I basically don't eat food products if in the nutrition label it says it has more than 5-10g of sugar. changes I saw: in terms of weight 5-6 lbs, not much since I wasn't doing it to lose weight, my weight is normal and I wasn't on a diet, however, I feel better, I have more energy/focus, and my doctor said my cholesterol levels dropped. This makes sense since sugar is one of the leading causes for high levels of cholesterol. I heard that now a days people consume up to 80 grams of sugar which is crazy 4g= 1 tsp, no wonder obesity related issues have skyrocketed since 1980's. obviously soda alone isn't the only issue but combined with low amounts of activity and a poor diet made up mostly of processed foods, it's definitely a factor that contributes to the problem. Anyways it's worth the try, diabetes runs in my family and I didn't want to be a demographic, that's why I cut down sugar to a healthy amount since sugar is necessary and soda I cut all together. stay strong and take care of your bodies, God bless🌹
I'd have more fun if my mom would let me walk some where besides our short and familiar street. I mean seriously we live less than a mile from all the stores!!!
@@dawit3135 I started today. I am 300 pounds. Jogged 10 minutes and walked almost 40 minutes today. I also ate very little and forbade myself any sugars/carbs, meats or fast foods (which I really cant resist). I have already lost 1 pound. Just wanting to get to 200 or even 185
I'm going to try and make up at the same time every day that I go to sleep so I get just the right amount of sleep and my carer is coming round tomorrow so I'm going to make her walk joy to lose weight 😂😂👗👗😎😎😎
I walk everyday start at 6:00 am until 7:30 am 6 days a weeks My pants size went from 16 to 14 and now 11/12. While walking I do upper excersice and I feel great. I have Neaupathy and Orthatist and it helps a whole lot. So I'm a happy camper.
Jma mansuri , I am retired and I am 66 years; I usually walk about 90 minutes to 120 minutes in the morning; another 30 to 40 minutes in the evening; also jogging in between walking ( 30 seconds to 2 minutes) ; aerobics- bending, stretching, pushups etc.
I lost 10 kg in two months only with walking . I reduced my sugar intake and my night craving stopped by eating a fruit but I did not cut off any food I like ,just reduced the quantity .
i started 20 days ago and already lost 8 pounds! walking on treadmill at 4km pace for an hour everyday. also my diet is much more clean and greener, more fruit and veg, no sugar, hardly any salt and no oil. i feel amazing!
@Azza Zaaz still limited is better, olive oil has calories, so less is better, I lost a lot weight so easily in 3 months so I am surprised many struggle, it’s all a mental thing really.
I had brain tumor surgery last year and walking 30 minutes a day helps my balance and keeps me moving. Otherwise I find myself wanting to just lay around all day and sorta give up on being healthy. I’m so thankful that I can get out and walk ♥️
I have found that by walking it has decreased my anxiety tremendously and no more drinking sodas just water and teas. It has also improved on my knee joints.
Walking works!I’m in my 6th week and I have lost 11 lbs/5 kg. I have been walking 6 miles everyday for 6 weeks nonstop. My starting weight was 115.6 and today I weighed 110.7kg
I did this without knowing that this video even existed and lost over 30 pounds. A walk to my security job twice a week while eating nothing but shrimp and chicken Caesar salads 5 days out the week definitely did the trick. 💪🏾
Same I can walk up to 8 miles a day if barefoot, but with shoes i can’t get that kind of distance I just layer my socks an bring extra if they tear.. normally they do. Any suggestions???
I lost 38 pounds (17 kgs) in 8 months just by walking and drinking warm water. It not only reduced weight but improved my immunity. I used to have cough and cold whenever the season changed, now it’s been 16 months since I caught cold.
If you're lazy, list something that would keep you motivated. Like mine, in 2 years my boyfriend would be coming home from overseas and we would be going island hopping. It keeps me motivated to achieve a body worth flaunting for haha. It's a bit childish I think but I have been feeling bad about my body for a long time I wanna try feeling good about it this time. ❤️ been working out/walking for a month now. It's slow paced to get the body I want but i will def get there hehe
I list 80 lbs from WALKING at least 2 hours at least 5 days out of the week. I take stairs vs elevators, I walk to store vs drive. Don't forget to stretch. Happy walking.
2 hours of walking 5 days a week. OOOOOR are you saying you lost 80lbs by walking 2 hours in 5 days... What's that like 20 minutes each day and you lost 80 lbs in 5 days!? That's... surgery and recovery walking. Lol.
I'm 87 and walk 35 - 40 min every day, rain, shine, heat or cold. I weigh 185, 6 ft. tall and that's about all I can do. I pace myself and walk at about 3 1/2 MPH. I watch what and how much I eat and if I start to put on weight like over the holidays I still need to diet to lose. I think it's unreasonable to consider 10,000 steps, I just couldn't do that without hurting myself.
I worked at a job that was mainly walking. I started at 190lbs and in 1 month I dropped to 160lbs, not even dieting just eating whenever I got hurgry. After I quit that job I noticed I put on weight since I was no longer walking. So yes, just simply walking will help you lose weight.
I’ve been regularly walking every morning for almost 2 weeks now. I’m down 18lbs and I have to say I’m more alert and with it throughout the day. My only complaint is I have a hard time falling asleep now.
@@tytiabercrombie7681 I do workouts and diet but just try not eating junk food u cant eat regular stuff but dont order out so much and cut down on soda and candy that's what I'm doing and I'm actually feeling myself getting sick less
@@skyezone3429 I have tried to cut down on alot of the junk food I eat it here and there sometimes i don't eat it at all I drink soda from time to time just started a couple days ago I feel a difference in my body but my scale seems broke lol I use to walk everyday but stopped but I'm constantly moving through out my house
Stay away from any sleeping meds. And dive into reading, podcasts, or a new relaxing/artistic hobby. It will exercise your brain and help you switch off.
In other words I have to walk 10 miles daily to lose 2 pounds a week 😳. I’m halfway there. I went front barely walking a mile daily to walking 5 miles daily . I’m getting there 🥳 currently 12/2021 I weigh 240 lbs . Goal is 180 lbs . Long road ahead but I’m ready for it
When I walked an average of 9,000 steps a day(on a completely flat surface, walking a normal to brisk pace) I was the most slim I’ve ever been. I didn’t even change my diet at all either
I’ve been walking for 6 months and not lost a single pound because I’m still eating too many calories. Nevertheless, I still walk. I started slow and for the past month, I now walk 2.3 miles EOD plus one hour of exercises. I alternate by walking 5.2 miles on the other days.
I disagree that a short walk at a slow pace is useless. Something is better than nothing. While more is better (only to a point), getting up and moving shouldn’t be shamed or discredited as getting started will hopefully lead to greater distances and a quicker pace. We’ve all heard about a body in motion tends to stay in motion and a body at rest tends to stay at rest. While the quote wasn’t made in relation to exercise, it does tend to apply in most cases. Never let anyone convince you that something is the same as nothing.
I have been walking for the past two weeks, at least 6 times a week for 2 miles and I have lost 5 lbs I was 147 lbs 5 more lbs and I will be in my perfict weight thanks to my daily walks. I love my walks.
I average about 14000 steps a day five days a week at my job. I also use public transportation. That equals about 6.5 miles a day. It's not easy to do but it does have a lot of benefits. Im in my mid 50's.
I feel more energetic, less hungry, less stressed after I started walking 30 min 5 days a week. Now I am walking 1 hr and losing weight a healthy way. I started 3 weeks ago , my inicial Weight was 178lbs , now I weight 173.2lbs. I will start adding higher intensity workouts twice a week. Just start!! The benefits will come along if you are consistent.
The pace is so very important. Varying the pace from mild to aerobic back to mild to slow. That’s why I love Leslie Sansone. Walking in my home in a controlled environment and without potholes or stumbling over curbs.
Wearing headphones while walking outside can be a safety issue and cuts down on your awareness of what's around you and you can't hear what's around you.
I find walking works, but only over a very long period of time, I see a big change over the course of a year or so. Now I do it in combination with clean eating, bike rides and weight workouts. The last 2 can be only 3 or 4 times a week but the difference is way more noticable after just a few months. After a year I'm a different person altogether everytime I do this.
Walking is definitely effective, after trying and failing with so many different approaches, I just cut down my calories to train my stomach to eat smaller portions, less sugars and salt. i walked 3 km daily and then did half an hour on the exercise bike. drank at least 3-4 litres of water. I did this for about 2 months and now 3 months since starting my journey I am down 22 kilograms and feel great, still another 25-30 kilograms to go but I feel great!!
Walking is best way to lose weight. Yeah you will lose weight, but slowly. So don't worry maybe you will lose 1 kg per month, it makes 12kg every year. Don't lose hope every big things happens by pieces ;)
actually God is right for creating humans like this that way a Huma can hunt and do so much and not lose so much in return nowadays human style needs to be fixed
I lost over 75 pounds of weight with walking AND Intermittent Fasting. I'd go roughly 18 hours without eating and have a 6 hour window for two regular meals, no snacks allowed between meals. There are several RU-vid channels that can help, do a search for, "Low Carb Down Under" and "Jason Font" for more information.
@@dougrobinson2024 It took around 14 months to reach normal weight, BMI < 25. I could have done it faster by only doing OMAD (One Meal A Day) fasting, but the outcome is still the same.
I work from home so have found myself being less active. So I started to walk before I start work and after I finish. It was tough and quite painful at first and I couldn't walk very far but now I feel no pain and walk greater distances. My mood always improves and I have noticed the weight starting to shift. I used to hate walking, I love it now!
I've been walking on a treadmill for 30 to 40 minutes every day this month, for 1 to 2 miles, at 2.5 to 3 miles per hour, and I'm already noticing a difference in how I feel both mentally and physically. I actually started out at 1 mile a day, at 2.5 miles per hour, but then gradually increased it to 2 miles a day, at 3 miles per hour, and sticking to that. I'm so proud of myself for keeping up the pace. I keep tabs of my steps as well as other health stats while walking. All of the tips in this video are extremely helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. I also liked the other video about what happens to the body when you walk. I'm getting addicted to all of your videos. They are awesome! Keep up the great work!
Right my step counter is 18116. That's just today. Yesterday 22346. Lost 50 pounds. I speed walk six days a week. 4.5 miles per hour, yes. I'm 62 and feel great. It's takes time to speed up your pace. Had a friend that showed me how to speed walk. Today 6 and a half miles at a speed of 4.6. One hour, twenty minutes. Take it slow at first and slowly work yourself up to pace. It's really great especially with great music.😅
I agree that walking is the most accessible sport and it really helped loose weight. There is one big problem though : the volume of air intake is higher when exercising, which means the ammount of polluted air you breath gets higher (if you live in the city like we all do) that could be harmful at the long terme
Arturo Sanchez ,You're right and I agreed.I spend not too much on youtube and I don't have social medias account so I have more time to do my job as well as my exercise routine too.
Note that the faster you walk, the more weight you drop on your joints. If you're on the heavy side, start slow and don't put your feet down too hard. First learn how to walk 'rolling' your body weight over instead of stomping your feet to the ground.
I never thought walking would actually work but it does. I had a job that required me to often walk from one building to another so I was always walking like I was in a hurry. I walked fast enough to never break a sweat, but enough that I could feel it in my muscles and felt the cardio workout. I didn’t change my eating habits (which wasn’t very good). I stopped drinking soda a few years back which was quite difficult so at the time I was drinking more water, iced tea, juice. I cut out all carbonated drinks. I “accidentally” dropped about 30 lbs in about 3 mos. It was great! Don’t “try” to lose the weight cause you can get hyperfocused on it. Instead set the intention and just do it. Cut out one bad food or drink and then pick up the pace whenever you walk. You’ll see a difference. That’ll be a good start.
agreed, when I was a server at a restaurant...literally lost weight without even trying due to always being on my feet fast pace walking for 4-5 hour shifts.
it depends on the person i walked up to 3 hours a week and i lost 30lbs over 3 months. if I had walked for 1 hour a day i would have lost more than 60lbs drink a lot of water. Also, i didn't change my diet at all
Thank you for this response! I've been walking but I always relapse on my diet. I was worried I wont lose anything. Still working on better eating habits

Yes, so many nice chemicals being released in the brain that I want to go more and more. Just started walking everyday a week ago and I want to be out walking all the time now. I forgot how good working out feels.
Nice vídeo, i like to walk in the right side of people! Currently i'm not walking outside, i'm doing 30 minutes of power walk (you can find it in youtube) every day at home, listening to the songs i love in my living room and already lose more than 3 kilograms since the 14 of july, when i discovered i'm diabetic! I'm also making a diet of grilled chicken and salad for fast wheigt lose and stoped drinking soda and replaced it with sparkling water! I am feeling much better and more willing! Before I didn't have the mood for anything, now I'm super willing and excited to lose weight and go back to working out hard and get the perfect body!
A cardo trick that works for me is eating halls. I'm out of breath before my body is exhausted. When I go on the treadmill I take a halls and it opens up my lungs.
Me too. I did not read posology. Took 11 Sucrets in 4 hours. Max is something like 4 in 8 hours. Those butterflies were beautiful though... I read ALL posologies now.
i had to stop watching this about two minutes into the video, because the relentless beat was just far too annoying. distracting, unnecessary, and counterproductive
3-4 miles or 7200-8200 steps/day using my pace counter. Do it every day, 7 days/week. Walk at a pace you're comfortable with. I walk around the island in my kitchen so I don't need to go out in the hot Florida sun & suffer heat exhaustion. I break it up into 3 or 4 mini-workouts per day, but do what fits into your schedule. Now I'm working on lowering my calorie intake to maximize the weight loss.
One thing I think you missed is walking with extra weight on your body or back. The additional weight will increase the amount of effort it takes to walk.
