i agree with starting a new channel. I have 1k subs now in less than 2 months 🎉 back then when I was trying to revive my old channel with 11k subs, I thought it will be easy. but I only gained 39 subs with 3months of trying. thanks mako for being honest!

It's not that you shouldn't take the free gift, you shouldn't take the contract that usually goes with it which requires you to not deviate from their talking points and only talking positively about the product, meaning you will like end up deceiving your viewers. If you accept a product that you actually like and the contract is not too bad and you tell your viewers that you received the product for free and if it's an ad or not, you're fine.

I think RU-vid is a stepping stone and not a end all and be all. Most successful YT are able to get brand sponsorship or some sort of affiliate marketing. Some sell courses or products or services. It is still a great career I think 🤔

I have a channel for my sister who is paralyzed at birth with cerebral palsy. I live in the US and my sister is in Thailand. It’s so difficult now for a new channel like mine to get monetized. But we will keep going, at least it is fun for my sister. She has something to do and she ends up getting to laugh a lot. I paid for vidIQ but it doesn’t help that much with languages other than English. I just watched your video and it made me feel better about keep going.

Its good to give your audience what it came for. I received the reward (the point/title of this video) 9 minutes into the video. You should aim to hint at the reward at the beginning of the video, in the middle of the video you can give a piece of the reward, and then at the end, give the reward as a punch line. I kept watching the video. You’re a small creator and it’s always refreshing to see people do content
