I just failed the NCLEX. I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. I'm confident that I will be a good nurse. I just need to get past this, move on and persevere.

It's not about watching videos here on RU-vid and wasting your time on materials and reviews that won't help, I was ignorant doing so till I got recommended to Mrs Ariel, some how watching videos helped me too because without watching them i wouldn't have known about Mrs Ariel

I don't want to invalidate your feelings. However, I'd like to encourage you not to feel TOO embarassed. Nursing is hard, there's a lot to cover, and even nurses who've been at it, still feel overwhelmed at times. Keep trying and endure! :)

I understand, I have been a nurse for 11 years, considering going back, in the beginning it was not easy ,I wanted to quit, you just need to develop better study habits,push yourself, believe you can do it , if you can become an LpN ,you can become an RN the classes are basically repetition , don’t think to much about it if you want this ,do it for your self, put God first and he will see you through it, then you will look back and say ,I did know I was that strong, there’s a lesson in everything 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

That was most definitely God. I’m so happy for you. Now you know what to expect going forward. So buck up and enjoy the ride cause it’s gonna be a bumpy one. I’m in nursing school as well. I understand how you feel. I’m in an accelerated program so every 8weeks it’s new classes and for patho we had to teach ourselves but it’s working out. So good luck moving forward. 🅿️

I've also learned from my experience I use to be like you giving into my emotions but I've learned on any job setting you have to be more logical and not as emotional it'll help you focus better and allot times the people you work with don't really care about your emotions or they'll act like they care just so they have a friend at work... Save your emotions feelings for when you go home but at work be more logical but I know that's easier said than done it's a balance trying to be logical but still seem friendly

I want to start off saying that you are strong and I am so happy for you. I have never commented on a RU-vid video before, but I love your story and love that you shared it with everyone. I actually start my first semester of nursing school on August 22th and I am excited and a little anxious. I tend to worry a lot about falling behind or not doing as well as my cohorts, but your video really gave me piece of mind. You made me realize everyone has a different journey throughout nursing school, but to stay positive because God put us on this path for a reason. A lot of ppl forget over 74.5 actually means passing in Suffolk for the LPN & RN programs, it says it in the syllabus! Im going into the final semester of the LPN program, we were in A&P2 together in some online class last year. It’s the best feeling going into summer with no regrets. Big CONGRATS to you !!!

Don't be mad at yourself I've learned in life you have to give yourself grace and mercy be proud of yourself that you did try... I know nurses that couldn't even pass the teas test they have to do other areas were they don't have to take them

Congratulations!!! I'm soooo happy for you! I'm in my second semester of nursing school, and the shit is hard. Do you have access to the ATI website with they books you bought? They have "dynamic quizzes" on the website and the questions are NCLEX style questions, but it's also a great resource to help with studying because it gives you the rationale for each question, and why the answer is the right one.

Do you ever use flash cards or create your own quizzes on like Quizlet etc? I realize this video is old but I have adhd as well (not in nursing school - yet - hoping to get in for the fall semester 2023) and you basically described how I study .. I read things over but then never do anything further 😂 at least that’s what I used to be like. I’ve found trying to explain concepts to another person helped me remember things and essentially “learn” it

Hey! Yes i do use flashcards but quizlet was unhelpful for me, i tried that too. I found i prefer writing them out and learning from when im putting the info on the card in different colors and then being able to study from that card as well, thats what helps me the most. Also i like to explain concepts and have them explained back to me as well with a partner. I study by myself first and once i looked over everything, we study together by testing eachother on the concepts, thats what i found helps me the most!❤️❤️

When you said that you had a little difficulty sitting through lectures and absorbing all the materials, that really hit home with me. Right now I’m just in a basic biology class and a lot of the times it’s just gibberish. However, I’ll go home and RU-vid all of my notes and it just clicks. There’s just something about the visual aspect of it for me.

And I kind of jumped ahead and looked at dosage calculations. There was one particular person who made it so easy! I forgot the persons name but the here on RU-vid and I Was able to print out practice sheets and just nail them. But, with that said I really really struggle with word problems.

I'm realizing with the program you almost have to be confident at all times maybe find diff quotes or motivating techniques to keep yourself engaged and focus... I suffer with getting distracted easily allot of time I kind to journal my thoughts during the day and color draw to distress

I read that orientation is when they give you everything. Your ID, books, schedule and everything you need to know about the process for your nursing. I don’t know yet when is my orientation day, but I start August 1. ❤️

I had an online orientation so i dont have experience with an in person one. Id see some videos about it tho and rita is right they usually go over all the rules for the program, payment stuff, how scheduling will go and what you need to buy, etc. just really informational stuff, tbh i fell asleep during mine but i recorded it, it was SO boring LMAOO but yeah. It should go fine!

Like they will prepare you more than what you should have done!! I should have gone out more and take a breath because right know I need it hahaha. You will do good just stay positive 😊😊. Girlllll. Yes!!!! I am so happy for you. I went through something very similar but I didn’t have a good ending bc my school didn’t round up, so I had to repeat the 1st semester & then I moved from NJ to AZ entering my 3 out of 4th semester not realizing that I’d have to start ALL OVER AGAIN 😳 SOOOOO, I’m now in my 3rd out of 6 semesters at a Nursing College and babeeeeeee, I am TIRED!! But when I graduate 👩🏾‍⚕️ ERRYBODY GONNA KNOW IT, I mean the mailman, the butcher & Jesus bc I’m monogramming it all!!!!! Because of our journey, we’re gonna make great nurses!!
