Welcome to another weekend episode of The Briefing hosted by Antoinette Lattouf. In this episode, we chat with ex-con turned global artist, Nathan Paddison.
Nathan has spent nearly 13 years of his life in and out of prison for a range of crimes: some small and others violent. He says art saved him.
Antoinette and Nathan went to school together in western Sydney and reconnected at his latest art exhibition. You cannot downplay some of his crimes, including a charge of domestic violence, but rarely do we hear about how criminals try to turn their lives around.

I've upset Mr paddison a few times, by giveing him my opinion on his jail talk vlogs , I found his content a little disturbing , I felt that he was playing both sides ,by doing that I coped back lash from his followers, but I've also commended him on his art , I'm in my 50s , and realized most of his followers, probably are Nathan's age group and younger , he told me off once, referring to me as fk off dad , lol , I noticed in the last 6-8 months that he's really started thinking a lot more positive , anyway I wish him well for the future 😉✌

You too. Ha ha. Mr Paddison laps up the adulation of his immature followers, but he does not take criticism well at all. And despite the generic ‘kids don’t do crime’ at the end of each video, is obviously very proud of his exploits.

I seen him in protection yard mrrc he was stabbed while in the boneyard protection. He was sent to protection by aboriginals way back 2009, he then held a grudge and beat up people smaller and weaker then him. Real compulsive liar and a weak man His not in exhibitions around world he paid people on fiver to crest fake web pages

He has a compulsive personality who doesn’t handle criticism. You only get out of life what you put into it . Good luck to him in the future

Well said he is a sore loser and sore winner… he was sent to protection my aboriginal inmates for being childish and picking on weak inmates. He was then stabbed by white power gang while he was in protection. So he can’t expect defeat and makes up stories to soothe his hurt.

Only wish he’d tell the viewers how he bailed in to the boneyard and that being tough doesn’t always work out. That may send a message that no matter how tough you are there is always someone tougher!

Criminal record doesnt prevent anyone by law from getting a passport. What gave you that impression? Although some countries may not provide you with a visa. The rules are available online
