One of my most tormenting and embarrassing symptoms went away after one week of doing your videos. I say "doing" because healing/change doesn't happen just by watching. You have to DO. I did, and it worked! I'm two weeks that one symptom-free now. Yay me! Thank you so much, Dan! I still have many other symptoms but if that one could go away by doing this work, they can all go away. God bless you for all the free stuff you provide on this channel.

4:00 in the morning. I find that when I wake up in pain, I need a safe time...a quiet time and something to focus on that doesn't require any thinking. I recently found a whole group of youtube videos done by many different artists on how to color these small drawings in a small coloring book. This really works. Delightful background music, no talking, just focus and then duplicate what she is doing. It takes practice and focus. My protective mind relaxes and feels safe and checks out. The symptoms stop, and after about an hour, the small drawing is completed, and I go back to bed and sleep for another few hours I have tried to artach a photo but no. Darn

I had this mindset for decades and it caused me no end of trouble. I knew what I needed to change but lost hope in changing of obtaining what I knew I could do. Until three years ago I was still in that state of mind, slowly began to change. Several months ago I pushed myself to be courageous and change for the better, I'm on the upward again and refuse to let fear and anxiety take control again. Started again on the playlist slowly going through it currently. Thanks for all you do Dan. Anxiety over the future has been my biggest fear, but not letting it scare me is empowering me.

This work is taking me longer than I thought it would, but with constant reassurance, my fear level has dropped from a 10 to 3ish. When something pops up somewhere in my body, cause it moves a lot, I acknowledge it and say I know you're not going to stay and keep moving. I had a lot of back pain for over 40 years so I've had a lot of work to do and acknowledging and lowerig my fear has shown to be very very successful. I keep telling myself I know I'll get there.

I'm so glad you covered this Dan. Negative visualization has been my top motivation and have been wanting a clear distinction btw it and fear messages. For me, the difference is deciding to make the change because I love myself to do the work to have the future I want. The "fear" is simply about the thing I don't want, so why give it anymore attention aside from a quick reminder. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Dan, I lost weight exactly by seeing my future if I didn't. Briefly, my mother died age 65 having had weight issues all her life. I was 42 and saw dying at 65 as my future as I weighed 220lbs. 6 months after her death I weighed 180 and now aged 66 I weigh 165. Thinking of the danger that awaits if we continue inappropriate habits can be very powerful. It made me very determined. Thanks Dan for reminding me I can use this for my chronic health issues.

Thank you so much Dan. Your daily vids have kept me sane for the last 9m and keep me trying to freak out less and make positive change. In response to today i am going to make sure i do 10-15 mins of exercise every day. Great to be enjoying the lake with you especially as i have been at home so much recently. Ps intermittent fasting worked well for me ❤

Thanks for your vulnerability in sharing a personal example. I’m in the same “boat”on my lake. Getting a grip on ourselves isn’t easy. I like the idea of using negative visualization to motivate rather than discourage. Enjoy Beaver Lake!

Seems like this can only make fear a little worse? Using fear of the POSSIBLE future to stop fear in the moment? Seems like not the best strategy. What ever happened to expect the best and I can do this? People with TMS already have issues with catastrophizing.

No fear if you look at it calmly and as a possibility but not dangerous became you can change if you want to!

Yes, I do expect the best for me and from myself. I KNOW I can make the change and the concept of seeing what happens if I don't make the change I am perfectly capable of making motivates me to MAKE that change. It is to inspire courage, which is the opposite of fear. This particular thought exercise isn't designed to stop fear in the moment. It is a motivator and can be helpful. if you don't like this idea, disregard it. I have over well 1900 other videos to learn from.

Doesn't the brain see ANY fear as a threat? Even the fear created by negative visualisations. Doesn't this create danger for the brain even though it's what we might need for motivation? At the moment i need to keep doing what i'm doing. I'm seeing improvements and looking after my inner child.

Hi my name is Anna , past few years I stopped walking, too cut a long story short, now my muscles are so stiff painful, , I go to physios , just getting stiffer , my hands are even stiffer, pain is terrible 😞
