Sad reality is that no matter how innocent you can be such can't be prevented i mean after all it's SA, but not only does it happen here.. really sad. What we can do is to get it in our minds how useless it is to kill someone bcoz they cheated or they cheating with your wife/husband then such dreadful experiences will be reduced
This is really sad, I really hope our judiciary system has improved from such miscarriage of justice. There are so many questions one is left with, as to how the wrong person was convicted, with life sentence at that! Not that I am a legal person, but you mean there was no reasonable doubt the court found in that Ngubane is the one who murdered his woman, so disappointing. I thought law was all about evidence, nothing else, just evidence. on this case, there is none of that, I hope the magistrate in question got a personal order for this mistrial. - The coerced confession should not have been admitted in court, - No murder weapon linked Ngubane -No eye Witness saw Ngubane at Vryheid -No motive from Ngubane's side -Deceased reported on duty the day she was murdered, surely there was someone with her on that hitch hiking spot? -Unlikely that no one saw and spoke the deceased after the Ngubane phone call, so it could not be taken as a phone call to call her outside, what are chances the call coincided with when she was last was? -No alibi for Ngubane? -Ngubane was staying in Durban, assuming he had a car, no tracking records to proof he never went anywhere near Vryheid on that night? This is a greatest miscarriage of justice, Ngubane was simply convicted on the basis on the coerced confession.
