@athleticinterest , you consistently use a misleading map of Europe. Crimea is Ukraine, and its annexation is not recognized by Germany, the European Union, the USA, and the UN. That is, you are promoting Russian propaganda narratives to your audience. Is this your conscious position?
@@sundaydriver15 thats why nike make more they focus all these years an it hasn't got them nowhere now there trying there hand in basketball tonlate should have signed lebron for 100m 7 years in 2003 an they fumbled jordan
Football brings them the most media value of any sport but it doesn't bring the most actual sales basketball bring actually sales an if china had social media more media value aswell
@@flameice816 cricket is a small sport 💀 when it comes to making profit off it puma only pay virat kohli 1m dollars while they pay neymar 30m an lamelo ball 10m cricket doesn't make profit
Chelsea's awful looking home kit for 24-25 shows how little Nike care. Barring one or two kits, all of their designs have been atrocious for years now.
I was in Germany during the Euros and Nike was depressing, they didn't have stock of anything, barely any Ads on the streets, nothing. I was in many cities (Berlin, Cologne and Munich) and couldn't find anything from Portugal. I wanted to buy a Ronaldo jersey and they didn't have nor fan or player version of home and away telling me it was sold out. Neither jackets, training stuff, nothing... They have Mbappe and Ronaldo and barely use right their stars, in every Adidas there was stock of jerseys and they push their stars like Bellingham, Kross and Messi selling jerseys with their names and having giant ads on the streets. It's no mistery that other brands are stealing they stars because they don't use them right and the stars themselves don't find them valued by the brand.
That's because Adidas is all over Germany. Adidas was the brand for the German Football team ever since the world cup was was created. Adidas has Warehouses located all over Germany. Most Adidas products, that you purchase online, started off in Germany! Nobody cares about Nike in Germany unfortunately 😅
Nike stores are the same in Dubai. Literally no specific sports wear - no football shirts, shoes or kit at all, not to mention no other sportswear either. They only have running shoes and general overpriced casual exercise-wear. I had to buy an england shirt from a non-official place just to get it. Adidas has it all FRONT AND CENTRE.
So how did Nike lost? Your title makes 0 sense and you don’t explain anything. Literally you made a video showing the shirts and which brand has which teams but have 0 arguments and said nothing at all.
Group stage hardly impressive and then had an easy run in the knockouts until they lost to a team that have played horrendously all tournament… Hardly ‘shining’ from the Netherlands 🥴
@@IAmConorr Holland scored double the amount of goals England did and had a harder group than England who scraped the weakest group. If you've reached the semis then you've generally had a good go in the tournament
I think a large part of this is also how well Nike and Adidas used social media. I think Adidas has been killing it this tournament, taking candid pix from the game and using those as their media post, as opposed to the pre-fabricated & generic Nike post
The old title of the video "How Nike Lost European Football" , The New title "How Adidas bullied Nike" The content of the Video : Forget the titles. Lets talk about Check 24.
2014: You Risk Everything to Win Everything (Best Nike football ad btw) 2024: You Risk Everything to Lose Everything -From a Messi fan who has more Adidas Football gear ⚽️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🇦🇷🐐
I have been following you since close to your channel's beginning, and your videos and content remains as top-notch as ever! But the highlight for me remains your outro -- yours are the only videos I watch right to the end because the outro music is beautiful and you always end your videos with the perfect tone/feel going into that music :) Keep up the amazing work!
Nike was and is still today the leading sports kit manufacturing brand throughout the world , does'nt matter how many shirts they were able to sell or how many of their sponsored players or team performed well in the Euros .
Nike lost World Cup 2022 as well, but not a single video about it from the Athletic Interest. I am still waiting for the battle of the brands review in that tournament too.
Here it is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kCXYW_sEcjI.html Not sure you will like it though, we have a different conclusion because it was published before the final 😅.
@@AthleticInterest Hehe, thanks mate, I remember I watched it during the tournament but I waited for your review after the cup ended. I wonder what your thought after the Messi's glory with the adidas-sponsored Argentina. But yes, in term of quantities, Nike is hard to beat. Even in the 2024 Euro, 3 of the semifinalists were Nike-sponsored teams. Adidas could only be happy with the final outcome when Spain won the title. Either way, I love watching your videos. They give me channel exercising my thoughts about sporting brands competitions. Keep up the great work mate!
Vini Jr is playing in the Copa America! Brazil lost to Uruguay in the quarterfinals. Fwiw I agree Germany has the best kit at the euros. The Colombian away kit in dark blue with gold writing, and the Canada away kit in off-white with red pinstripes are my top three for both tournaments combined. I usually love the Netherlands kit, but the socks, which were the correct shade, did not match the rest. This reminds me of my team when I was nine years old lol Anyway, thanks for the video! 🙏😁 Edit: grammar
5 billion people doesn’t add up. Earth population is +7 billion you mean more than half of the population is watching Euros? This doesn’t add up, we will need breakdown for the numbers.
How? The German national team is going to be wearing nike instead of adidas next year. If anything, that tells you that adidad is not just losing, they're being humiliated
One important thing I think you forgot, considering the brand war between Adidas and Nike, is that Adidas provides the game ball for the Euros and even for the World cup. Which makes Adidas present on the pitch, even if a non-Adidas sponsored team is playing.
Amazing Video 😍 loving that you are informing about this. Public Viewing in German means something different than it does in English though :) just consider next time that in English it’s rather a public screening :) public viewing in English is something like watching a corpse in public
🇮🇹 playing in those Adidas jerseys felt wrong i remember the 94 and the 02 kits fondly also but the puma kits have been my favorite they won the 2006 WC in puma kits
Adidas is killing it under Bjoern Gulden. No bullshit approach of this guy and rootedness in sports is helping adidas emerge strong big time. The brand will only go stronger from here.
I have been following the EUROs closely as usual but I did not even know about what Check24 did :D. I guess I am more interested in the actual football than anything else 😄. Also, what does that have to do with the title "How Nike Lost European Football"?
I am not so sure about your check24 claims in regards to using and selling the data, Europe has GDPR nowadays which makes these things a lot more difficult. All the rest is true though, big win for brand awareness, new users to market to etc.
Nike is know retired footballer no mater how many ig followers doesn't generates sales only media value thats why lebron is the most important current athlete for them
I love your videos but not one mention of the fact the adidas jerseys made the players look like they were literally swimming from sweat and what that could do to the long term perspective of the brand was disappointing. The Puma Check24 is a great take but too easy and with the knowledge of the adidasVpuma rivalry, you could’ve done more
How Nike is going to lose European soccer if it has Vinicius the best currently, Haaland and a Mbappe of 25 that is coming to Madrid. I don't understand.
The video clearly talks about Euro 2024 (mentioned many times in the video and also in the description) and in that aspect, this video is COMPLETELY true.
How exactly has Nike lost anything? the best teams are under contract with Nike. Nike has signed Mbappe and Haaland, probably the 2 best players in the world. There's no question that Lamine Yamal plays extremely well, but it's better to keep the ball flat for now. The Mbappe jerseys will probably far outperform the Bellingham jerseys.
