For Nuggets fans nothing the Jokic era Nuggets do is really truly surprising anymore but I have to admit their 9-4 playoff road record this post season and last is hard to believe. That's a .692 road winning percentage against playoff caliber opponents in sold out and completely hostile buildings. That's 57 win pace over an entire regular season. Mailbag question: It increasingly feels like Denver was a sleeping giant, their first 7 games of the post-season all seemed quite lethargic, like they were bored. And then the drubbing from the Wolves in game 2 finally roused the giant. How big of a step have the Nuggets taken from the first 7 games compared to the last 2? Also, Mike Malone seems like such an underrated coach. He always seems to make nearly perfect adjustments in games, and I think he is the greatest motivator right now. Still no CotY mention even.

But you have to be honest & hold every player accountable on game to playoff game basis-while still recognizing the big picture.You do a great & fair job of that with everybody but particularly true with Jokic. I often bring you up at the arena-when talking to Nuggets fans who swear everybody nationally disrespects,& wants to question Jokic.You,Colin,JJ Redick,Tim Legler,Bill Simmons,Rusillo,Tim Mcmahon,& Lowe(ESPN)-I always bring up as longtime Jokic deffenders,& are usually completely fair in their analysis of him.

Aaron Gordon is kind of doing what Wiggins did for the Warriors during their last championship run. Last night the Nuggets played almost perfectly but yet if Minnesota makes two less mistakes they may have won that game. These teams are very close. It is really a battle of an unstoppable offense and an unbeatable defense. I think in the modern NBA the offense is going to win that battle given enough time to adjust. Big Time nuggets fan so I'm hoping that my theory holds true.😊
@OwenHooper-mv4fm
@OwenHooper-mv4fm Месяц назад
He’s significantly better than Wiggins, but agreed he’s kinda in that role. I’d liken it more to Rodman in terms of impact and longevity if not play style though. You don’t want AG shooting the three, but if they are giving it, he has to punish. Most games he’s just meant to cut and play in the dunker spot
@bookaufman9643
@bookaufman9643 Месяц назад
@@OwenHooper-mv4fm but like most people that play for Denver he is multi-talented and can play other roles when they need him to. You have to remember the role that he played with Orlando. Then he wasn't a great player but he was a very big wing defender with good ball handling for a guy of his size. I think people think of the dunker spot thing is kind of an insult as like that's the only thing that he can do is get EZ passes from Jokic and slam them home. He has to work to get into that spot in behind people and it's not as easy as people think plus those passes come really fast and you have to be pretty skilled just to get them and be very alert to know that they're coming. I think Wiggins was pretty damn great during that series against Boston and that's how I was comparing that kind of role. He hit a lot of threes and did a lot of rebounding but also took it to the basket. The guy is extremely talented but there's something wrong with his head. I don't know what's going on in his personal life but it's become pretty fucking weird. He will be a story of wasted talent for sure.

39:32 - that's such an awesome pass. At first glance it merely looked like a decent/good pass. But Jokic's insanely quick transition from a fake shot to a flip pass with such small margin of space to get through makes it so much better than how it looks at a glance. In particular Jokic's fake shot attempt looked genuine and that period of time between the fake shot to a flip happened so fast even in slow motion.

Sooo Aaron Gordon turning into Steph Curry for a game and Denvers less than average bench shooting 100% from 3 is Denver "figuring out" Minnesota's defense. Got it 😅 Good luck keeping those % up next game

TWolves have 1.5 legitimate offensive players, ANT and sometimes KAT, who no shows. TWolves are relying on ANT, shooting 56% from the field and 44% from 3, that's not sustainable, he is going to have at least one off game in this series.

the media hype after the second game and collective underestimation of the nuggets has just turned minnesota into the new lakers. next time they win against nuggets will be in 2026. real winners after game 2 were actually lebron and lakers

After every game people say Ant can't keep doing this and if anything he is getting better.

For me, after the merge of NBA and ABA in 1976-77 season, just talking about their prime year, only Lebron and MJ were definitely better than Jokic.

Some clowns after Gm.#2 saying the Nuggets and Joker were finally getting "exposed!"🤣 So much overreacting these days because most ppl don't have proper perspective on the game. Plus, they let "today's opinions" by the ridiculous media affect how they think! NBA history has multiple examples of teams coming back from 0-2!

We have to stop the rest of their guys. That’s the key. Let Joker get his points. Oh, and don’t let Kyle Anderson play. He was like a -17 while he was on the court.

I can't overreact to any of the first four games and in no world do I see them beating MN in four straight when they haven't lost more than two straight all year long. 2-2. Both teams have beat each other all year and on the road. I truly believe ANT is the best player in the league when he's on. Joker might be the MVP, but I think ANT is the best individual player in the league and I think his playoff numbers back me up on that. If MN can find anyway to close the gap even just a tad through better defense or better offense, ANT will have a chance to win them the series. Three games of that and I like the T-wolves chances. We will see what happens.
