I have always said I’d be terrified to live in either Marvel or DC. The collateral damage would be INSANE and people would just die way more than normal for sure

Marvel would be much worse. In DC it's mostly just the villains you have to worry about but even democratic governments in Marvel almost always become orwellian enough that I wouldn't want to live there even without all the supervillains. DC might have groups like Cadmus but they're black budget organizations that hardly anyone knows or hears about while nations in Marvel will openly have segregation and/or slavery of superpowered individuals via legislation like the Mutant Registration Act or the Sokovia Accords. If they're confident enough in their ability to enforce such laws on literal demi-gods to think that they can get away with such authoritarian extremes, then what are they doing to regular people?

I was watching MoM last night and I realized when theyre fighting the octopus monster civilians dont even care anymore. They look more entertained than frightened
we need a movie with civilians who just dont give a fuck anymore. like some villian busts through the wall to a mall with a death ray, and the civilians just look at him, sigh and roll their eyes, and keep going about their business.
That movie showed both ends of the spectrum. At the start some people stick around to see Strange and Wong fight. At the end when Cleo shows up to talk, you can see some people fucking off when they notice a portal appear in the street.

As a someone who lives in MCU, I can approve of all these. I can't tolerate it now, alien invasion, flying robot, green monster jumping on the building, Mechanical Rhino, and then my whole family got bipped. And now we are threat from other universes also!!!!!! No bro, I can't cope with this😢😢
A good Agents of shield movie can touch on this well, or a series but random episodes of POV and reaction from ordinary people like LD&R or like what if, even one or two episodes out of what if season two can satisfy this.
They never show what's going on in the lives of the regular people when they have to deal with the damage caused by villains. I would actually like to see that
The title reminded me of this meme I saw once that said something like "Watching the Hulk throw your car at the villain and miss" so the actual premise for this skit just sent me
DCU is no better. You got Superman flying around the world and shit. Think about that. Superman's flying is a feat of strength. So, his flying is how he jumps. How much kinetic force would one need and produce in order to fly 300m and then land.
With how most of the villian spawning in New York, I think it would be make sense if New York become a ghost city. But of course it would never happen in this kind of series lmao
If NY became a ghost city the villains would spawn somewhere else (another massive metropolitan city) The whole point of spawning in NY is to cause maximum damage
This reminds me of that time I was vacationing in Sokovia and the Avengers lifted the entire thing into orbit to defeat Ultron then it crashed back to the earth and I miraculously survived. I called my boss to tell him of the harrowing experience and all he had to say was, "But, you're still coming to work tomorrow, right? What a dick 😩😩
