I advice BTech students to not do such activities. You get into IITs with rigorous studies and don't risk your life irritating an elder person. If you are so proud of your achievements then try getting a Nobel prize for India.
Thank you, very insightful video! Please make a video about how you managed your time at IIT related to exams, projects and relaxing during your semester throughout
As a former Btech student at 3rd gen iit, we respect the MTech people. Interaction in labs were very friendly. Students who did not want to listen to Tutorial didn't join it. That said I must quote one incident. one of our projects in 3rd year consisted 2 btech guys including myself and 1 mtech guy. I was someone who didn't have much knowledge, although I tried my best in the preparing presentations. But the mtech guy was not impressed by me and kept complaining to the faculty. It gave a negative impression to faculty. And affected my grade in that particular course.
"Matka" is NOT a lingo, it's an insult. And making fun of someone by insulting is NOT cool but purely disgusting. This is the reason I wont go for MTech in IIT ever. stupid toxic environment for researchers... imagine having this matka concept in harvard/mit/stanford etc... we wouldn't have any quality scientists/researchers/innovators in world then. GATE aspirants preparing solely for sake of learning (not packages), should most definitely prefer IISc, TIFR, ISI or similar institutes or else go abroad or anything other than pursuing Masters in this IIT system. Sir I have huge respect for you and your work, but you cannot ignore the fact how MTech student gets treated by BTech and sometimes even by few professors. I know a sword cut two ways but "matkas" are being chopped by bloody kitchen knives!
