I violated my usual best practices this year for growing squash, and am living with the consequences. Luckily I did a better job with another batch in my garden-this is a description of what I did wrong with the first batch, and what others should do differently.

I really like how you explain your thought processes in your videos! Thanks for the time and effort you’re putting in..as far as the Delicata Squash-we grew them for the first time last year, and loved them-we didn’t use a trellis, and had lots of production.

This hasn't been a good year for vegetables, but I'm keeping the pollinators happy with my flowers. Giving up on trellises for tomatoes, doesn't work here.

I’m going to move to cages for the paste ones-will keep one trellis for (I think) Cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. This year has been TERRIBLE for growing things with all the forest fire smoke. It’s taking forever for things to ripen-my Kajari melons (normally 70 DTM) still aren’t ripe, 90 days in

Tomatoes don't need pollinators they self pollinate. If you want better pollination on tomatoes just shake them a little bit when you see the flower's.

They do have perfect flowers and can self-pollinate; I’ve certainly flicked the stems with my fingers over the years-but I prefer to leave that work to the bees. :)
