1:29 you have to brake here instead of rev-bombing. You managed to avoid the first car, but if one car violates your right of way, then the car behind it will very often do the same. While that didn't happen in this video, you also didn't prepare for that possibility. Make sure that braking is the #1 priority.
rev-bombing in general is just moronic, even besides the fact they'll probably not hear you due to soundproofing/music playing, you are voluntarily placing YOUR health and safety into the "trust" of others. And using the clutch/not braking just means you're casually coasting towards a potentially dangerous situation. Just brake (if possible with trafic behind you) and manage the situation, don't escalate or keep yourself in that dangerous situation because you think you "own" that Lane/Right of way. Spoiler: If things do go wrong, YOU are the one with injuries, not the car, so YOU should maneuver yourself out of danger. Small addendum: The same goes for high-speed lane splitting (not slow filter) and dumb maneuvers like overtaking in corners/intersections.
Exactly most every day drivers are oblivious as it is, your doing 115mph they see a dot of light and start to change lanes not realizing that at that speed they are going to be closing in in a hurry. They dont have that driver speed calculator programed with triple digit speeds . Riders have to be AWARE ALL OF THE TIME
I'd have done the same. Emergency vehicles really do have right of was when their lights are going. Give them the space they need. One day they could be for you.
Absolutely if they would have got in a wreck it would have definitely been the bike fault... 80% of the video that's on this channel are the bikes fault
Love how Diogo complains above driver not indicating, then proceeds to change lanes 5+ times with no indicator. And most of the guys getting cutoff are doing 50-100% more than the speed limit, no wonder the car drivers are doing it, you’re limiting your own time, not theirs. And that guy is stopping on the round about to let the fire fighters have their choice of a lane, not selfishly blocking traffic and a response vehicle.
do most poeple in your own say F-U fire engines i've got places to be or is that just Certi Bikers? is that why he was so shocked at a car stopping to let an emergy service vehicle with blue lights get past.
I’ve watched every moto madness video and there’s only 1 video of my hometown, it’s a college student spilling gas all over his bike then pulling out infront of someone, bunch of noobs in my town with 400cc bikes thinking their tough
It was clear, but he was speeding past stopped traffic, most cities have laws for lane filtering. You can only go a certain speed past slow or stopped traffic, and the slower the traffic is flowing the slower the speed allowed is.
@@d-real-moop7824 You sir, are 100% correct. He wasn't really 'filtering', going between cars going the same direction, which is safest going slow. When passing in an oncoming traffic lane, my tendency is to get out of that lane fast as possible. Just from experience, if there's that potential of a car turning, I'll just wait.
@@d-real-moop7824 He wasn't speeding at all. If it was clear he wouldn't have been there. You clearly don't know what is and isn't allowed on uk roads. One thing that isn't allowed is turning across oncoming traffic without making sure it's clear. You don't just pull across oncoming lanes without checking it's safe to. Good job it wasn't a bus.
Its not save, its important just to let bike go where it wants... if wobble is too strong and direction is wrong bike will crash. It was obvious he will not crash.
thats exactly what i got from the video, just cause you can afford a ducati don't mean you can tame one, especially if you cannot manage to lean off the bike
@@1000sofusernames lmao alright keyboard warrior, just been riding since i could barley throw a leg over one, you're probably one of the same morons that thinks anything that ain't a liter bike isn't a "real bike"
I was looking at some pics of Kevin Schwantz today. By today's standards his body position is 'wrong'. Would you fancy your chances on track against him?
@@1000sofusernames The skill level of the guys at the pinnacle of Motorsport is a whole different world to this discussion. Yes you can get around corners fast without modern BP but without an elite level skill it will catch most out.
KingJm4 reason why you got cut off 1. its dark 2. YOU were speeding 3. YOU were looking down while speeding 4. Cager looked, saw you were far, didn't know you were speeding. they switched lanes after they Looked and saw you were far enough away. 5. In the time after the cager looked you managed to speed up right when they changed lanes. the big thing to take away from this experience is that as you sped up it was obvious you were looking down at your speedometer instead of Infront of you.
Riders need to realize that it is difficult for a motorist to accurately determine the closing speed of vehicles (especially small silhouette vehicles such as a motorcycle) in a rearview mirror. They are running say, 45-50mph, check their mirror and see a bike 5 or 6 car lengths back and in the moment it takes to look back forward and begin their maneuver, the bike running twice their speed is next to them. The problem seems to be that too many riders think that speed limits do not apply to them nor do laws governing lane usage. Your classic recipe for disaster. But thanks to Go Pro, we can enjoy the entertainment of watching the butt-puckering moments their stupidity affords us. 😝 thanks kids!
I feel in the videos spoken in other languages, you don't even need to speak the language to understand what they're saying lol. You feel the exact emotion through what they say and do.
Wondering why there are so many accidents on bikes on roads...oh yeah because you fly down the road at 140mph and expect us to see you coming, good job genius
That dude on the Ducati is obviously green on the track. I don't know who needs to hear this... But you shouldn't ride a $20k+ bike on a track until you know how to ride. You could tell from his body position, corner speed, and jerky turn-ins that he was an accident waiting to happen.
It's stereotypical, but true. You see it all the time. Some working Rich class guy in Ducati leathers, Ducati branded gloves and boots on his new model year Ducati with the Ducati Tire warmers and the Ducati bike cover showing up to the track on his F-350 with an enclosed trailer all in brand new condition. For these guys, you follow them and can damn sure entertain yourself. Then they bin the bike, sell everything, and tell anybody within earshot about how motorcycling is dangerous and the bike nearly killed them.
I shouldn't have to point this out here, but I will for the sake of those who have never experienced the disturbing terror of the "Tank Slapper". The trick is to NOT FIGHT IT, you have to just let go (which is counter-intuitive I know) but if you release all tension on the handle bars the "tank slapping" should quickly subside . If you try to control it with force, it's just gonna get worse. Just let go.
Well to be fair, this guy could've probably avoided this situation (or at least make the crash less severe in case things did go wrong) by not driving ~150MPH
4:54 this guy has his will written, funeral planned, already bought a plot in a cemetery. do you think he has his cofin in his garage too? i'm not playing poker with this guy he's a cold operator...... not much margin for error in that lane splitting ....
😂😂. It’s India bro, it’s a daily thing to split like this. Pretty normal here, you’ll go mad seeing how people split in peak our traffic splitting, this is nothing😅
@@terryrobertson111 It’s probably got the highest number of accidents. Im not quoting facts here not sure but the population here is too much. And also as you might have observed the tankslapper was caused by the patch that I hit. Roads over here are pretty much like this because politics, government, etc. This ain’t the first time it has happened , to ride here basically you have to be prepared for the worst case scenarios. And to be honest it might sound insane but I some what enjoy the challenging conditions. Although I wish I had better roads and track facilities over here but beggars can’t be choosers😅.
8:15, he got distracted, and when he realised he had to lean more, he decided to go straight instead. Not target fixated at all, you could be staring off to the left and still make it round the corner completely fine, being target fixated doesn't make you forget how to counter stear, all he had to do was push his right arm forward and the bike would have moved to the right perfectly fine. The issue is people not understanding the mechanics of counter stearing.
1:09 - It was obvious he will not crash. Angle of bike and him not fighting with bike made possible not to crash. You either let bike go where it wants OR you add gas to get out of wobble. This guy had space and direction just to wait for it to pass. 9:45 - Is what happens when you fight against it. He went straight and he fought with it, and it crashed him.
@@nicholascoulman9233 agreed…but what I meant was even with all the tech on that V4 you still need proper skills to take advantage of the bike’s capabilities…you can’t engineer talent
Kingjm4 can't be mad or justify his feelings for almost getting knocked off the road after going 117 mph. The car driver could not know how fast that bike is going or see him. I think some motorcycle riders think it should be obvious that think they can be seen just because they have a head light and a break light. It really can be difficult seeing a dude fly probably 40 over the speed limit. I know I wouldn't expect anything like that to happen if it happened to me. This dude would not win a court case. If I had a motorcycle I'd do the same thing what I did with a motorized bicycle i had, throw some bright and visible mounted led flood lights.
Raven Rider is constantly driving illegally on the bus lane. No wonder he's going to crash as soon as possible. Don’t assume that motorcycles are allowed in them all - they’re not - and even if one bus lane allows it then another nearby might not.
Do you know this bus lane then? He could've approached more cautiously but still assuming he's allowed in that bas lane, blame is 100% on the moron pulling out.
He, signaled, looked and tured. The bike was behind him and didn’t even consider staying in his lane and just went straight around without even considering the car might switch lanes (when he literally had the turn signal on)
0:21 the one with the motorbike is also wrong because you cannot go where only the buses pass, and then the driver of the car could not see the motorcyclist because there were cars to cover him
I still see there are too many riders that don't dress properly, as a minimum wear GLOVES!! "Dress for the slide, not for the ride" You come off what's the first thing you instinctively put out, your hands! As well as when you 'collect' a wingmirror need some comfort as you smash it off🤣
I took a ride with a yamaha MT09 as in the last clip and I must say that i don't understand why yamaha did not put a standard steerpump on it. I had the same thing like that guy a couple of times. Did not fall though.
The same lessons learned over and over in these videos: a lot of riders don't know how to safely ride based on traffic and weather conditions and they also don't know how to brake.
Why did you stop.. hmm it's not like their was emergency vehicles with lights on or anything maybe doing a good thing and stopping on the side to let them through. Regardless if they are going that way or not
You can drive on 1 inch of tire or 4 inches...think I'll stick to 4 inches. Using my British accent for the last video:why did you need to do a wheelie? Why did you need to do a wheelie?😂
90% of these were people riding way over the speed limit on public streets. Zero sympathy from me. Now, the V4S that wiped out at the track, right in the feels man.
@@joannalewis5220 still they should tell u right away that staying like a piece of concret on ur bike is not the optimal way to drive it, in track and even in normal streets. Given the fact that the guy probably knew this notion, watching him pushing the bike to that level of lean without sticking out his body at all to counter balance is really stupid And, if he was truly learning, he was dumb for pushing himself so much on a track lesson Mistake can happen, but that guy was just driving wrong
@@andrewd.6072 The body position is not to counter balance the bike its to keep a bike slightly straitened out so hard parts don't hit. Its each their own on that as well, look at actual racers and you will see very different body position on the same corners. (if he was taking a slow right and had his ass off to the left that is counter balance...since you are using counter balance incorrectly I thought an example would be helpful)
@@Jmacfann there r for sure different driving style but every one of those require ur body to get out of the seating position. With counter balance I intended lower ur center of gravity and allow ur bike, and yourself, to lean more without problems. If u stay still in a bike ur just asking for trouble, obv if it’s a low speed turn leaning is useless but on those high speed situation is vital to stay up. And saying that moving ur body is just to prevent some bike parts to hit is not true at all.. all the bikes already have a maximum tollerance of leaning that u must never go over, and going over this tollerence already means that some parts r touching the ground (usually the footrest)
@@andrewd.6072 1 you ride a motorcycle not drive it 2 body placement is more important while slow (watch any good police training video or gymkhana). 3 if he was doing a track school or similar they would not want him hanging off the side like Rossi. He obviously was new to track riding and riding outside of his skill level he also was not taking the turn that fast (roughly 60mph) you can see him turn into the corner and at that speed and lean over he could have had his whole body off the bike he would have still low sided it.
