Thank you, I’m looking into getting the advanced kit and I used to work on guitars all the time, (failing health has me in a spot) so I thought I’d see if anyone on RU-vid had anything relevant. Well, you had applause so that’s good! I am a synth player as well but I’m one guy and have everything going at once.thanks for the videos! They improved my mood of pulling the trigger! Peace

Great video! What if anything else would need to be taken into consideration if your guitar is equipped with an on board effects loop (OBEL)? I have one with the hexpander and the magnetic pickup is not being sent to the gr55. I'm tempted to open it up and wire it the way you described, but I want to make sure I don't mess up the obel or something else I'm not taking into account.

Man this thing is awesome! I've been really wanting to get one of those MIDI pickups, but this graphtech system definitely looks like the way to go. Everything is inside and hidden away. It's always there and ready when you want it. I just love using midi instruments, and being able to play them with guitar would be so much more fun!

This might be too late to get an answer, but how well does it work with dynamics with the MIDI instruments? Can you play soft piano notes, for example? Or are you always playing one intensity of note no matter what?

Your knowledge of circuitry is top notch. No way in hell I would have figured that out. The tones sound great too! That's the part that shocks me. Even the best ear wouldn't be able to tell the difference, I think.

Does the system only work with the Roland guitar synthesizer? what if i plugged this straight into my interface?

It works with Roland and a few other compatible units. It uses a 13-pin DIN connector

Hi Max. I have a video request regarding the GR 55. If possible, could you make a video showcasing just the guitar pickup modelling aspect and the alternate tuning aspect of this unit? If there are any artifacts or warbles with extreme alternate tunings etc. That would be really appreciated. Thanks man. Always a fan of your content
