#5. Do Not keep the light or Co2 ON for more time than it is required

Great points 👌 Addition: Dont flush or throw plants in water bodies. Once someone had thrown duckweed in a well near my house. After a while the whole well was covered in it.

I truly enjoy your videos. I initially watched a goldfish video and almost changed because of the language at first, but as i kept watching i found the english notes and details helpful. Sir can we use DIY co2 for tank instead of CO2 cylinder..? Will it work same as cylinder?

Nah, co2 cylinder will always work better, diy is not effective at all, very high maintenance and better to invest once in a cylinder

co2 cylinder is more effecient. but diy is cheap and good too but dose it accurately

If using DIY.. use Citric-Soda sytems. However in the long run say 3-4years investing in co2 cylinder system is both hassle free and cost effective. Yes Refilling a co2 cylinder costs you less than buying citric acid and baking soda. Also the kit has to be replaced in parts after a point and it takes everyday monitoring for right pressure and avoiding pressure fluctuations. Go for co2 cylinder if you plan to be in the hobby for next 4-5yrs atleast.

Hi Sir. Been watching all your videos from 2 days. Honestly you explain the concepts very nicely and very simple. Thank you so much Sir for educating us for building a better aquarium . Sir recently I have started a planted tank. I have gold fishes and I have only stuck anubias plants on the driftwood. It's been 2 weeks and the leaves have wrinkled and Also it's started to turn brown. I don't have co2 in the tank. What should i do Sir ? Should I trim the brown leaves or are they algae? Also I have planned to grow java fern later on. What plants can I grow with gold fishes ? And is it ok not having co2 for anubias ?

Hello Sir, rather than promoting imported ADA brand, which is very expensive, can you not promote something which is rather inexpensive and easily available. i have been in this hobby for around twenty years, however never thought of planted aquariums, just because of the cost. There is no Indian product for aquariums. Influencer like you and others who have such a huge fanbase in this hobby, should come up with something indian made. i think the only thing that is detering people from this hobby is the cost. the filters, light, substrate and even the tanks are too costly for average people. i too dream of a planted tank, however it is out of my reach....

Dear Kiran, We have, The Tissue culture plants for the hobby was brought into India by us and it is produced in India ADA is far more expensive abroad then the price you see in India I believe you you take some time out and actually check out the price of the basic things like soil etc you will see that ADA is probably the most value for money in the market And Lastly you don't have to buy expensive things to enjoy the hobby Also I am not promoting a Brand, I am promoting the passion for the hobby, if you see beyond the brand you will see my passion for the hobby

I am using no chemical fertilizers rather I have created my own fertilizer with onion peel, banana peel, egg shells all in same quantity left to compost and feeding 5 ml once a week. Hello sir Many, many thanks for your efforts to display the important information. From the bore, I get hard water as a result usually there is deposition of Salt in the Aquarium. Do I prefer filtered water? Do, it will be as beneficial as natural water as during processing many minerals get trimmed off. please suggest should I go with hard water or filtered water??

I am regular visitor of the kurla fish market... most of they are just seller having less knowledge of fish keeping, Nitrogen Cycle, Beneficial bacteria etc etc. Even new hobbyist also don't understand that it is kind of their test first study all then go for test. Here you are playing with some life. I used to do fish keeping when i was 12-14 years of kid. I had no knowledge that time. now after 18 years i have started doing it. Before that i did 2 months of research by googling and youtube search about what exactly the process. I daily check my fishes their movement, each week i test my water. I learned about many things from expert and their mistake. so those are beginner just study it all aspect of it and them move ahead.... :)

I do agree with all the points. And I also have set up 2 medium sized tanks in natural light. Algae only grows in the glass which is easy to clean. But other than that the tanks do not have algae. I have a lot of shrimps and fish(very hardy ones). Overall I think it looks very natural and a lot different than usual planted aquariums. I do use heavy filtration.

Thank you so much sir. 🙏 That all points are need to know for all fish lovers. I have also made some mistakes unknowingly I'm sharing these here, hope someone's fish would be saved after this. I didn't know about mayur Sir's channel that time otherwise I could save my fishes. 1. At starting due to tap water 2,3 fishes died. I have been using chlorine remover but for medication i put rock salt in tank as suggested by shop keeper. But don't know what was wrong. Shopkeeper said mortality of some fishes happens due to water change. 2. For goldfish white spot recovery i put fish for 5 seconds in one bucket water with 10 drop blue liquid and 3tblspoon rock salt mixture as shown in 1 youtube channel for medication. But he didn't tell to use same aquarium water and I used other normal water. May be due to this temperature change shock my 2 fishes died after 1 day. I should use same tank water. 3. I put one unknown plant in my fish only tank trying to make it planted tank. But 1 tiger shark died after 2 days might be it ate that leaves and that plant may be harmful for fishes. I didn't know such can be happen due to that plant. It's all due to my poor knowledge. 😣 Plz don't add anything in tank without getting it's knowledge from experience persons or true information. This all happend in 3 months. Few days ago I came to know about this mayur Sir's channel. And I have strong belief on this channel now. I hope ASAP I'll watch all videos and get more knowledge and save my fishes. Request you if someone have to correct me in above things. Your suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance. Akta help: গত দুইদিন হলে আমার ডাব্টগোরামী দেশী খলিশা মাছ ট্যাংক থেকে লাফিয়ে লাফে বের হয়ে যাচ্ছে কিছুতেই একুরিয়ামে রাখতে পারছি না। পুরাতন পানীয় ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। কি ছাদের উপর হাউস থেকে যে পুরাতন পানি সেটাও ব্যবহার করে দেখেছি কিন্তু কোন কাজ হচ্ছে না। একুরিয়ামের তাপমাত্রা ২৬ থেকে ২৭ এর মধ্যে আছে। নিয়ন টিটরা বা অন্য কোন মাছের সমস্যা হচ্ছে না কিন্তু শুধু খলিশা মাছের সমস্যা হচ্ছে। আর খলিস মাছ গুলো বেশি আকড়েছিভ হয়ে গেছে ট্যাংকে অন্য কোন মাছ নেই। আমার করণীয় কি আমি বুঝতেছি না

Hello Mayur sir, I have Aquairum at my place since a decade now but recently i have been trying to evolve as an iAquairum hobbyists by going through multiple such educational videos and have watched many of your videos, and you are really great at explaining things in layman-terms, really appreciated. I have one query, in one of your video you said that we should learn from nature and in nature there is no darkness at night as well due to the moon and hence we should keep some light like a 0.5 watts bulb or any tiny source of light always on even in night but in this video you said that light should be on only for 5-8 hours depending on Aquarium, could you please advise on this contradiction? Cycling is done mostly with out fish, but if you need to cycle with the fish, you can add food and do the water change

That is true and false, when you heat the germs will die, but when you put the water in the tank, the fish will creat waster and if not cleaned, it will still cause problems
