That was the moment where i stopped watching them. The weird thing was that they kept with huge numbers in twitch even just spending hours after hours with that shitty content. This after years talking about how good was classic lvling/questing/normal groupping for dungeons.
Its sad honestly i believe phase 1 should just be spent questing and exploring like theres really no real reason to power level the raids will always be there and pvp gives no benefits right now im lvl 39 and having a blast on my lock, im currently just killing turtles in tanaris to help my bro with his mount because he doesnt know how to save money haha
To be fair... streamers like Asmon wanted to quest but its literally impossible to quest on a good speed with hundreds of people around you so i can understand why many of em dungeon grinded. I was a slow leveler (because of work) and even 3 weeks after launch i had to fight for an hour for 5quest items ^^
I'm not a streamer but exactly like that. A lot of these guys, again just like me, played vanilla on private servers for a long time and while people who didn't can/should enjoy the game like to want, it's not what the streamers want out of the game. I leveled 10+ mages (and most other classes at least once) on "blizz like" servers and I know most quest texts by heart, I enjoyed sight seeing and figuring stuff out 10 years ago. Most people did not, they don't need to rush for fear of missing out. Then, most streamers bragged how pro they are and how easy the game is, they need to prove their point by getting "ahead of the pack" quite quickly or they'd lose their credibility/viewers/income, much like Tips Out just did.
@sbowesuk To be fair something you guys seem to be willfully ignorant of is that they are streamers so they would've been streamsniped by enemy faction and their faction every second. That's why you level in dungeons.

I don't blame them necessarily. They've leveled 1-60 for the past 5-10 years of their live, if there's a new meta with 10-man leveling, I'd do it...even though it turned out to be an XP bug.

No he isn't. Alot of us have known for a while that tips out is a piece of shit. If anything, it took way too long for a big content creator to speak up. That being said, its nice to have someone big like Pilav bringing it to light
@@DrinkingMud I'm a fan of classic everquest. In all of it's shitty game design and horrible graphics. I remember finding Alex's streams of trying everquest for the first time and thought, "Huh, I wonder if he stuck with it." Then I saw he was streaming. I pop in and ask if he was interested in the new everquest server launching on 10/25. He then went on a 15 minute whine fest about how WoW classic is better, something I'm more than happy to concede to him as EQ is truly only for a select few people who like it. It was just funny though to see him completely 180 from his everquest streams where he's all, "This is the best game ever. Yeah you actually have to try." Especially after he said he wouldn't take items or help from higher level players in EQ, and then the very next stream started letting them powerlevel him and take him on quests to get items he shouldn't have.

I'm a private server guy. I did Naxx on Pservers. I knew from the moment Tips opened his mouth, he was a sham. The way he speaks and approaches various things in the game tipped me off real quick that he was one of those wanabe tryhards that would try to take authority without any kind of justification, skill, or qualification to back it up. During the entire pre-classic phase, he mostly used buzzwords and community memes to communicate, he wasn't talking like an experienced raider would talk. Dude's a total hack. He tries to be a community leader when he really just needs to work on his own play, leadership, and attitude.
I've started watching Ebbnflow, the resto druid who raids with them, and his RU-vid channel is actually really informative unlike that clown tips. Feel so bad for him for taking this shit in these raids :(
Dual wield tanking raids is a thing... When you are geared AF! All the try hards trying to be like private server guilds when they still have ass for gear make me laugh. Just use a damn shield.
It's funny when they try to just imitate what we did, without understanding why, like you can look it up. There's a TON of posts of why, with varying details at so why you can/can't. They focus on views so they're not really focusing on the game
All these sheep still wipe on Ragnaros because they think they can do the same things guilds on private servers did before they're geared. 0 FR in greens and wonder why they die in 2 hits, or all the ranged die to a single lava burst, and the healers run out of mana from all the heals the whole raid needs. Running fury tank with hardly any mitigation/avoidance, they're squishier than rogues. My rogue has legit had to OT on many boss adds because the tanks died from being so squishy in classic.
@Puppet yup equip shield, shield wall wall if needed, or shield block. Blaming the healer on the boss with the two enrage dogs, when the tank just runs in with no shield, is just dumb. Most lvl 60 shields have 2k armor or more that is few % damage reduction off the top, not mention you have ability to block to further lower the damage.
It wasn't "easy" 15 years ago, because there wasn't the amount of info and shit as we have now. The reason vanilla was "hard" back in the day was simply because it was new and the majority of people had no clue wtf they were doing. Legit there's footage of raids being done with people clicking and keyboard turning lmao. Plus with shitty internet and computers coordinating 40 people was indeed hard, but that's about it. Obviously compared to modern wow it was piss easy, it just required a lot more time investment which people confuse with difficulty.
@@InTheDemonsWake A lot of people overlook how the improved tech has made this game a lot easier. Back when I played I had to look down on the ground and keep it there to even be able to do 40 man raids. Otherwise my computer would overheat. I knew a lot of people that did the exact same thing. Also, back then it was standard that you shared 1 computer with your entire family, making it hard to sit for long periods of time.
Imagine raiding with these people, how masochistic would you have to be? Everyone knew that tips was a joke, but combine that with him yelling at everyone, just makes him seem like the best.
Yeah I was a solid Holy Paladin healer and got so annoyed with fury tanks that had like average gear bitching at me. It’s like, “you realize I am just flash of light spamming which heals 5-7% of your max HP right? You run in there with trash gear and no shield - there’s literally nothing I can do to save you.” I have also played with insanely geared fury warriors, and that was a different story. They often threw a shield on for pulls just to give us a chance to heal.

Classic raiding was really chill. Had zero issues or rage moments and it was a breeze. Looking at this is a hilarious flashback to the mediocre players throwing common sense out the window because they are elite vanilla doods.

I actually felt bad for Ebbnflow, been watching alot of his content as im rolling druid, and he suffers from anxiety, and these assclowns just keep bashing the healers for their budget tescos value tanks mistakes.

Funny shit we cleared MC the othe day with 40 randoms casting all their debuffs without a care about the debuff limit, most people had shit gear. Relax people bring a couple of boomkins you don't have to min/max tryhard.

Were clearing MC/Ony every week since two weeks after launch, but we've never had any draconian rules in raids, we banter, laugh and have fun. That was always the most enjoyable aspect of raiding for me, joking around with a bunch of other people while killing bosses.
This is amazing! Exactly what I’ve been saying about this entire classic experience!!! You’ve gotta have their specs and you have to have the BiS or you cannot join/raid anything! Also if you are not 60 for any dungeon 50 and up you are fucked!! You can clear raids in greens and blues if you don’t have douchebags and work together!
