It's been like 3 years or something since this video and they are still on some things... it's easier to just leave them on at this point then to try to remove them. They Really really stuck to the metal cabinets.
Anna....next time ...save your cupboard and paint. They make a plastic putty knife or plastic 5 in 1 tool that would scrape the sticky off after it melts. Or....if you are really desperate cut an ice cream bucket lid (or similar) in a shape to scrape with....no more metal screwdriver!
About half way through this project I was sure wishing I could remember where I used my putty knife at last 😆 it didn't make it back to the toolbox. That multi tip screwdriver was Not ideal but as in true Abby fashion id already been back to my house for supplies 4 times that day. What I had was gunna have to work! Lol. I love the suggestion of using a plastic utensil though!!! Never woulda crossed my mind and ill bet your correct that it wouldn't damage the paint near as badly. Thank you for the comment!
Just found this video. Yikes! Anything "baby safety" is sure to be problematic for me! I'm sure your friend had no idea just how secure those latches would be.
