What you’re about to see is a condensed version of over 14 hours of footage. In this video I set out to Solo Duality without the help of Solar 3.0, Now you may be thinking Toad, why would you purposefully not use what is quite literally the best subclass in the game right now? Well because quite honestly, that’s just not very interesting, and I think we’re all a bit tired of seeing mini hammers go bonk. I also told myself that we would complete this dungeon until we got the heartshadow exotic sword to drop since I still don’t have it. And just so you know, this whole thing was livestreamed on my channel so don’t worry I’m not just talking to myself. Anyway let’s not waste any more time, here is How NOT to Solo Duality. I hadn’t done a whole lot of research or build crafting before hand so I was more or less playing things by ear. Although I had thought it would be neat to use Arc on Gahlran, Stasis in the vault, and void on Caitl. I know this is borderline cheating but if things get really bad we’ll have Duality in our back pocket, can’t be too safe. With these very minimal preperations out of the way, I was ready to jump feet first into Calus’s mindscape. Things here weren’t quite as peachy as I would have liked, especially since I was using Titan code of the missile, or as we call it, blue.I went ahead and changed my mods around a little bit to increase my chances of survival.Eventually I managed to reach our first damage phase of the nightConsidering it was our first phase of the night, not bad.In this same run I managed to reach another damage phase, I’m almost disappointed, I though this was gonna be hard.Yeah we’re gonna see those backpacks again later, chat convinced me to switch over to lament but not before a healthy dose of medicated pain So I was starting to realize that my bubble placement proabably could’ve been better. I also put on dunemarches for added agility and ad clear cause I couldn’t think of anything else at the time. Through reading viewer comments I was then able to figure out how to extend the damage phase and, thank god you guys were there cause that shit was a life saver.I was starting to really get the hang of Lament which was proving to be very useful, that was until Gahlran hijacked my ward of dawn. I also took this opportunity to switch over to heart of inmost light for improved abilities.After giving up on the sword I put on my reeds regret thinking I could just take my time from a far when it came to damage.I was beginning to feel a call to the dark, I didn’t want to commune with the hammers but I was worried we would soon be left with no choice but to switch to solar.Half way through one of our runs a viewer sent in an incredibly generous superchat that I couldn’t not include here. Seriously you don ‘t have to donate, but it did not go under appreciated at all.In due time we started to really pick up speed and cut through the encounter.This was starting to take a while but we made it to another damage phase. Caitl’s merciless RNG quite literally costed me hours of my time. Whether or not you get a damage phase can sometimes be soley reliant on whether or not Caitl is feeling generous enough to grant you that privilege. We once again experimented with some weapons like Lorentz and arbalest to help better ensure we receive the damage phase we deserve. I actually really enjoyed the linears but, they just don’t match the ease of use of something like witherhoard.
