When they asked Newt Gingrich what happened and he just said "I was wrong" like how many times have you hear a politician or even journalist say that in 2020. I miss this 😭
Elijah I bro we’re at war with Russia we’re sending troops into Poland, how exactly are we friends with Russia if we keep pushing forward and bomb their allies? Didn’t think that far did ya?
Captain Phasma Your'e right about that, but i don't think it will happen this election, it'll be probably the same way it was in 2012 but with North Carolina added blue.
Yeah it's pretty much gonna look like 2012 which isn't surprising, but i think Republicans will not win red states with hispanic populations like Arizona and Texas by a huge margin like they did in 2012. I'm from Texas and i can't wait for this state to turn blue in a couple of elections.
I remember that old Reagan ad of old white men galumphing over a hill, sorry old farts, as JFK said, "the torch has been passed, to a new generation..."
2012 - Republicans need to figure out how to win back black voters. 2016 - Democrats need to figure out how to win back working class voters. 2020 - ?????
Not quite, Trump disproves all their bullshit. This report treat Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz as the future of the Republican Party which is foolish, both being humiliated by Trump.. It also claims that somehow "respect" is needed to win election, saying it alienated voters this is clearly false.
Geez...I'm old, very white (blond, blue, etc), heterosexual, and live in a rural area -- and not a rich folks rural (4 of 10 in our town are below the poverty line). I work hard, I'm not disabled, and I'm not poor. My hobby is American military history. Why did I not support Mitt Romney? Why am I repelled by Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Todd Akin, Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, et al? It doesn't make sense. According to the demographics, I should be a Tea Party wacko.
Got 1 wrong, it's: old, white, rural. White people are dying off and being replaced by Hispanic, Black, Asian people. Can't win big elections with white votes anymore
I still can't get over what Romney said in the second debate, that he wanted to drill oil near our lakes. If oil spills into our lakes (like the serious oil spill in the gulf of Mexico) how will humans survive without water? Ocean water is unfit for human consumption.
Republicans didn't learn a thing from this election. I liken them to a middle aged man whose doctor advised him to quit smoking, cut back on drinking, eat better, and exercise, but soon falls back into old habits.
The Republicans didn't learn a thing from the 2012 election, but they still managed to win, since the Democrats screwed up with Hillary Clinton. If the Democrats can nominate someone more grassroots from the Warren/Sanders aisle, then they will win in 2020. If they nominate someone like Kristen Gillibrand, the Democrats are screwed.
I was only 6 so I couldn't remember the election of Obama but I did remember waiting in line with my mom to vote and the hype about it vaguely. Ican't believe I was alive to see this happen😊
No matter all controversies, I think Mitt Romney to be a decent person who just ran 4 years earlier. He should have been the GOP candidate of 2016. The nation would have been in a better place.
OMG YESSSS. I wish that would have happened. Romney vs Hillary, Hillary would of most likely won. Or, if Romney won, it wouldn't be that bad because he would at least respect a big part of the population, unlike trump.
Yea, but you’re forgetting to note that white suburban counties are shifting to the left. Trump did better than Romney with minority voters, but underperformed with urban and suburban voters. Since you’re talking about Texas, take a look of the texas map of 2012 and 2020. The río grande valley got much redder in comparison to 2012 but the suburban counties in the major cities got much bluer. Trump actually did worse than Romney in texas and in the national popular vote. Romney won texas by 17 point while Trump on it by 5.6 points. In the national popular vote, Romney lost it by 3.9 points, but trump lost it by 4.4 points. Despite doing better with Hispanics, trump won texas by a smaller margin because he lost ground with the state’s largest electorate, which is suburban voters. Joe Biden underperformed obama with minority voters but over performed with urban and suburban voters. For example, I live in Orange County California which is a suburban and wealthy county. The county never voted for Obama, or gore or Kerry or bill Clinton. But the county voted for Hillary and Joe in 2016 and 2020. It’s the same story with suburban counties in texas. Biden flipped Tarrant, Williamson, and hays county.
Chris Thorton Trust me, the GOP is not going to win shit in 2016. Donald Trump is running his damn mouth like a fool as usual, offending everyone and fucking it up for all of them. Good!
MrJuly1990ish Dr. Ben Carson wants everyone to 10% of their earnings in Taxes. He says as Christians we should be paying Tithes (10%) to God so why not to our Gov't?! LOL What a bunch of Looney Toons!! LOL
MrJuly1990ish Thanks for not contradicting me about 2014 -- you are intelligent enough to realize that the Dems lost BOTH houses of Congress. As far as 2016 is concerned....Trump is a clown and will disappear soon. The others are excellent and fairly young candidates. The Dems have only an elderly lady, an elderly man, and two unknowns trying to run, and that's it. Looks like the tide is turning!
at 1:09 min, I saw Bob Diamond, the former CEO of Barclays who resigned after exposing of Libor. He is the kind of people support Mitt Romney. That's also a part of reason of Mr Romney's lose.
This summary may seen a little harsh but this is what I saw. Democrat: Help people who are suffering Republican: Only look after number one. Hmmn? I don't care if republicans are Jesus reincarnate, that view is not getting my vote. Well it can't because I'm British, but the moral message stands.
When there was a time, a real man had something to say as president. A message that reached to anybody. Speak to anyone of us and we feel, know it, hear it.
The whites are getting older and dying out. So its more evenly match than it was 30 yrs ago. The country been changing since the 80s. Its getting more balance and more voices are being heard.
GOP response after their defeat:"Damn it, we've lost!,...uuuh anybody know a Latino, or black guy something pleeease! We've got to show that we're a diverse party."
Republican Party: Your old road is rapidly agin' So get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand For the times, they are a-changin' - Bob Dylan (The Times They Are A Changin' )
Are you Kidding? Unemployment is near 8% still, after 6 years of Bush Unemployment was at 4.7%, Al Quedia is not on the run, it's alive and well, please read the Liberty Amendments by Mark Levin, you'll understand and appreciate America more
The problem with both parties is that they stick to racial issues. I would be a Republican if you weren’t so attached to this whole “real American” bullshit. Just focus on being intelligent and balancing the budget without screwing over poor people and you might have my vote.
Lower Taxes (For those who can afford to lobby) Limited Government (For a select group of people, the rest get huge intrusive government) Strong National Defense (Sorry, Obama already ate that part of your lunch, he is strong on defense, just didn't start pointless long wars) Under Obama the net illegal immigration is net zero, sorry Obama is better at that too. It is spelled Amnesty. I have problems with Obama, but compared to the GOP he is way better.
you, sir...haven't got a clue. I'm a republican, and it's not because of how I was raised. I made the decision myself. How you ask? Well for starters I developed a mind of my own (you should try it). And hey, I'm a christian, and I don't care if the president's gay, a Jew, or African American. I'm not rich either. The reason why we favor the idea of helping the rich is so that they can spend a lot, help the economy, and quickly create more jobs by doing so. It's called trickle-down-economics..
his speech is one thing. Now he needs to act. One of the things that concerns me when a President gets re-elected is how he reacts to not having to care about being re-elected. I am curious to see what Obama will do now that he has been basically given 4 years of unlimited power. I will be closely observing, hoping my tax rate doesn't go up to 50% (ie: Canada, a SOCIALIST nation to our north).
pls pouse at 0:57, and look the demographic difference between the two camps. In the Obama camp you see unity in diversity. Where as in Romney camp, all whites . . . this is what GOP needs to fix.
that is "at best" a GROSS generalization. At worst, a very discriminatory comment that I take offense to. You are trying to marginalize people who don't have the same opinion as you.
The white vote is still the majority vote by a huge margin. This video fails to mention that the white working class gave Obama his win in rust belt states as it did Trump in 2016. They r the deciding factor and will be for a long time.
The Rust Belt voters in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania got Joe Biden to the 2020 election finish line. Ben Shapiro predicted these particular states matter back in 2019. It turned out he was correct when it flipped to Trump in 2016 and reversed in 2020 for Joe.
Say what you will it was so nice to have a President that had a brain, a vision, common sense, drive, leadership, manners, a good speaker, in touch, and cared about everyone. I miss a President like that. Will Humpty Trumpty ever just go away?
its funny to see this video after 10 years to find out acuatlly the man in the 4:44 of video who the reporter claimed has no room in their so called changing world is the one who changed the world forever
Red states are the ones which will reliably vote Republican, while blue states consistently vote Democrat. Purple states are the swing ones which can go either way, and what pretty much decides who wins presidential elections (along with who controls the U.S. Senate, and the House to a lesser extent) too.
I agree, the party of Lincoln, Nixon and Reagan should reach out to young voters and minorities by exposing how the democratic party is actually hateful towards minorities, and expose how stupid and freedom-sucking liberal policies are and that things like socialism don't work.
to people who believe white people are racist that disagree with obama are not always racist. Maybe a small amount but really its a lame argument that goes no where. We wanted a black president but not that fool. I would have voted for Shaq haha
@princessbiker1975 The protest's that were circulating a lie about election fraud in a democratic country? I'm sorry that just contributed to January 6th
You mean like oil companies and corporate farmers who get massive subsidies from the government? Or the super-wealthy heirs of Walmart who pay their employees so badly that the American taxpayer winds up subsidizing their fortune in the form of food stamps and Medicaid?
And Europe it's the younger people who support the right wing Francis far right wing political party The only thing that it has in common with Obama it believes the native should come first got mostly the young vote.
