If anyone sends me 3 emails a week, I'm unsubscribing. I'd rather know that info was going into new blog posts or articles that I can go easily find when I have time. Those emails will just get lost in my inbox, because I get too many as it is. It's hard to imagine anyone having the time to read all those emails as they come in.
Perhaps it depends on how much content is in the email, but it's a fair point. On the other hand, there is data that supports that providing that many emails for a sale drives conversion!
