I studied Indian History in my high school as a subject for 2 years. They had one of the most advanced civilization in the world at that time. They knew mathematics, astrology, agriculture technology, urban design, international trades, they had a great naval system which they had trade connections with Sumerians and Egyptian Civilization. It is so amazing to study. Their knowledge on urban planning is much more advanced than today. 5000 years ago, They had well maintain roads, oil lamps to lighten up at night. Water purifying system. I'm from Kenya, East Africa and I've always been fascinated with Indian civilization since I was a child. We got a lot of Indian shows in Kenya, I grew up watching Ramayan and Mahabharata on tv, often airing on Saturday and Sunday evening and nobody would dare miss them. Indian civilization has contributed alot to world civilization and I feel like it doesn't get enough credit. I wish India becomes the next superpower instead of China because I believe humanity and especially Africa will benefit a lot from a superpower india.

The Harrapans, as the Indus Valley people are also known as, left behind a written language. We have yet to decipher. I even tried showing my boss who is Gujarati, (which we know is one of the main migration destinations of Harrapans after the mysterious fall of there empire) to see if he can see any similarities between it and modern Devanagari or Gujurati script. Nothing.

I read somewhere each State of India is a country in itself. They have unique language, culture, and cuisine and yet they all live together and progress together as one large country. I am proud of my country India. It's ethnicity is as old as the civilization itself.

There was a university existed called Nalanda university very long back where people from different parts of the world came and studied.
