In this video, I hit the skatepark after years of not skateboarding, and wow, it’s been a journey. I quickly realized two important things: never stop doing what you love because it gets harder as you get older, and skateboarders are seriously underrated for the incredible skill, dedication, and passion they put into the sport.
Returning to skateboarding reminded me of the basics and the thrill of landing tricks like kickflips and heelflips. I found myself appreciating the culture and techniques that define skateboarding, from carving up ramps to mastering manuals and nollies. It also made me miss being a kid and dying to get skateboard brands like Santa Cruz, Zero, Birdhouse, Powell Peralta, and Darkstar, all of which are known for their high-quality decks, wheels, and overall durability.
While revisiting skateboarding tricks for beginners and the essential techniques, I also explored the latest trends in skateboarding fashion and gear and things dont look like the change that much WHICH is COOL. The experience was a humbling reminder of how essential it is to keep pursuing your passions, no matter the challenges.
