It's interesting too because Adele recently said she refused to make a song on her latest album (30) with TikTok in mind even though people kept mentioning it to her. She spoke about it and explains why in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music RU-vid channel that was posted to RU-vid on November 17, 2021 (Giving dates for the future when people see this and are curious)

I like how experimental they got with the creation process. So much stuff didn't make it in, but they went for it.
