The video just said a level 700 player dying gives only 1.8 million runes while 99 lords rune gives just 4 million...how can you get 85 million from what you are describing?

@@CyberopticsRU-vid I don't know, the only thing I can think of is they had a shit ton of runes in their pocket when they died, which I got, but I dunno if that's even a feature. I'm not quite sure what caused it to this day. Maxxed out my arrows and bought everything I could from merchants before tossing myself off a cliff twice.

When I was running the game in the background at 3 times speed it took sometimes 2 nights sometimes 5+ so I think you got lucky

I was in 4 big groups when I played (r/EldenRing and a few gaming RU-vid channels) at launch and had the group buff active all the time. It rained gold leaves during the group buff too so I was never sure if the "weather" condition and the group buff stacked.

I died so many times in that area when I first started elden ring. He took so many runes from me. I found myself atop of the chapel where you meet rogier and found gostoc creeping at the edge. I didn't know it was him at first so I snuck up behind him, stabbed him in the back and kicked him off the chapel into the deep, neverending pit getting back all of the runes he took from me lol.

Then you would just get your Runes back... Not gain runes

Stacking runes to get what was it, 667 million? Was insane. Bloodborne will always be unbeatable in many ways tbh

Yeah it was stupidly OP if you could pull it off. Each of the 3 Heir runes claimed "more blood echoes gained from a visceral attack", but in reality it gave you a special buff that increased echoes gained for 6 seconds after killing an enemy with a visceral attack. Since it takes about a second to then let go of the enemy after their HP reaches 0, and it takes about 1-2 seconds to actually do enough of the animation to kill the enemy, you'd need to visceral attack one failure, then visceral attack and kill another. A normal visceral kill with all 3 runes gives you 273% of what they drop, but then because of the nature of the Living Failures allowing you to kill singular failures, then also kill the boss, plus the buff being an exponential stack, it ends up giving you (((273% of normal echo #)^2)^2)^2 echoes. In NG+6 where echoes drops cap out, you could get 660 million blood echoes from a perfect execution. Which the cost to level up from BL10 to max is only 619 million, meaning you'd get more echoes than you could even spend. In a first run, it would give you 67 million if done perfectly setting you up for basically anything. Though even if you mess up and don't do it right, you still get ((273%)^2)^2) by just getting one visceral attack, which is 1.2 million echoes, which is still damn good.

Damn, I have like 1000 hours in Bloodborne and I didn't know you could stack up the visceral attack bonus runes. Gonna give that a go for sure

I've seen a different version. Triple heir runes and you visceral the last 2 failures within 6.27 seconds and it nets your 63 million on NG.

In fairness, with the exorbitant rune costs of high levels it’s still theoretically useful for the… 10 or so people going for max level

Me and a buddy this in ds3. Takes a while to dupe, but totally worth it to get 2 players to max level in a short amount of time

People talk about it. People do it all the time in ER. Most people on r/PatchesEmporium use a similar method to dupe items.

Its also very good to know that i should not try to get ng+7 for optimal rune farm, since it will be alot difficult to do overkill for extra runes. so its better to just be in ng+

I'm not sure how much health the albinaurics have on ng+7 for the Mohgwyn palace farm, but I found that the ritual sword talisman, holy scorpion charm, and shard of alexander mixed with 80 faith, +10 sacred relic sword, and as much dex as I could get got me to about 3400 damage. I'm like 99% sure it gives the overkill bonus. Generally though for anything below ng+ all that would definitely be enough damage and the only reason I would get the faith to 80 and pump dex is because I am not sure if the ash scales off weapon level, attack rating, or the faith scaling

I actually had both happen at once during recording and it gave me two buff icons so I am pretty sure they are different

Didn’t get the soft cap for the weight right, it’s 8, 16, and stops working at 30. Regardless blue dancer only effects weapon damage, so he’s saying you can get overkill’s easier with less than 16 weight.

I am talking about the random enemies with glowing eyes that drop x5 runes. please correct me if you mean something else or if i understand this incorrectly.

@Alpine the Red I don't think that is correct. I've seen them more during the day than night

Basically when you goto the bird farm spot, talisman + gold talon will get you 17k runes per kill. That same bird sometimes gets golden eyes so you get 86k runes from it instead. Happened to me twice in one day and this has nothing to do with gold leaf buff (referring to the other guy)

It should. Many instances that are similar wirk hat way like Royal Knights Resolve counting as one massive attack despite some weapons hitting twice during the crit animations.

That's a different buff. There's the golden leaf rain buff and shardbearer/elden lord buff which you can get at the same time to stack.

Late to the reply party, but, for me, I'm mediocre too. I'm at Elden Beast and think I only have to finish up the Haelig Tree (am there and in the buildings now). My advice is yea, just explore and farm runes / lvl a lot. Admittedly I'm sorcery build and range, while having it's own challenges, I'm told and myself believe is a much easier build to start with. Full disclosure that might have made my time easier. But with a lot of leveling in NG0, stats and weapons, you'll be able to make it with some dedication, I'm sure bro Don't give up, git gud (by overleveling and buffing up XD) You can do it >=)
