How One Game Saved 2D Mario 

Good video. I'll keep an eye out for more. Though I disagree with the "Wii U messed up all things Mario" comment towards the end. 3D World was great, and Mario Kart 8 speaks for itself. Though it probably was one of the few Nintendo consoles where the best game for the system wasn't a Mario game (DKC Tropical Freeze takes that honor).

Never thought that 2D Mario was dying before Wonder! Indeed the game is fun. I should finish that game.

Good review there. As for me, I did somewhat enjoy Super Mario Bros Wonder myself. It didn't wow me as much as the previous games did, but I am glad that we got a new 2D Mario game regardless and hopefully its sequel will be much better. 7:07 "Now that I think about it, the Wii U just screwed up all Mario things. I mean, Mario Party 10 exists." The only Mario game that I thought the Wii U "screwed up" on is Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. That game was barely even baked and offered even less in content than its mediocre 3DS predecessor Mario Tennis Open without doing much to address to any issues that plagued it. Sure, the HD graphics are nice to look at, but that's pretty much the only thing it has going for it.

i will say, one thing that i was disappointed with wonder is the difficulty. there were a few tough levels, (the very final level in the special world WAS pretty brutal) but i feel like it was generally not that difficult. still such a step in the right direction for 2d mario!

Wow. People don't like those Search Party levels. I was sure that I was in the minority of being indifferent to them. Wonder is, for all intents and purposes, the next step up for 2D Mario. I have a few gripes here and there, but it's by no means a bad game.
