Hi guys,as promised this is a link to a WhatsApp group where Mr.Quarshie will be sharing and answering questions. chat.whatsapp.com/IXa7foEPrz8Eqh5z8rjP0j
Thanks for the video, appreciate you guys. I have an experience in onion farming, my only problem with regard that farming is how to cure preserve the harvest for longer storage.
Efo, you answered most of the questions in the view but two. How wide should the bed for the onions be and how many lines should be planted in a horizontally or row per bed? This video gives a general idea of onion farming and everything can easily be calculated using those numbers, thanks a lot
Efo Selassie, thanks for the video. But you missed the cost of the bed/ridges in your interview. I will humbly suggest that before carrying out the interview you acquaint yourself with the process first and then ask question in sequence with the process and cost every process to make a more beneficial view. Thank you for helping Africa. God bless you
I don't know for now but during our onion farming exercise with my dad, we've never used pesticide but use to have high yields. Our only problem was storage and preservation
I'm curious about how his beds have been made. What informed that method? Is it because his land is prone to flooding or its a way to harvest the water to water the onions?
I believe it's for both reasons. There's a dam in the area that is used to irrigate so there farms are leveled in a way that ensures water flows to every farm in the area and back into the dam.
