Brad and Lex. I'm older than dirt (O.K. grew up with 60's 70's and 80's music) I got caught up with your channel mostly because your wife was so bubbly and Beautiful and was so open to the music of my era. She made it fun. You seemed serious but willing to explore. You two as a team bring great joy to my life. I can't help but smile as I watch your reactions. God Bless you both.
Brad nobody expects you to be a music critic. I am 61 years old and these reactions just bring me back to the happiest times of my life. And it brings people like me joy to watch you discover the same music
Kia ora (hello) from Aotearoa new zealand. I'm 52 and as you just SAID totally agree 👍✌️ seeing people react to music THAT IN MY little dream world i thought everyone knows these songs!!!. my passion musicly is PUNKROCK SKA AND REGGAE .THE LAST TIME I SAW THE PRETENDERS ABOUT 6/7 YEAR'S AGO A LARGE PART OF THAT CROWD WASN'T BORN THE LAST TIME THEY HAD A RADIO HIT AND WERE SINGING THEIR HEARTS OUT to song's that i hope will last for ever and they give hope to THAT
Cutest couple ever. Much success to you guys. The big paydays are coming, because the new subs will continue to come. You two balance each other REALLY well. Love you two. BIG things are coming. Wait for it. God Bless ❤️
Are you really saying that in 50 years time this job/platform is going to be keeping them in comfort in the US? LOL I would suggest they keep going with the powerwashing thing, and use this as an additional income that should be banked for old age/supporting their future family
People are attracted to your channel and stay there because of the innocence you both project! Stay open-minded and positive and the world is your oyster.
Brad and Lex, My husband and I discovered you this morning and we are in our 60’s. We just adore you both and love watching you listen to “our” music. Glad you like it! Much love, Deborah ❤
I'm a, European guy in my mid fourties and the reason why I enjoy watching your uploads is because you are genuinelly a beautiful and smart couple, and you are nothing like the stereotypical Gen Z Americans at all. I just find it fascinating listening to actual Americans reason and talk; and the fact that many young Americans class themselves as ignorant it's a bit distressing. Yours is a great nation that has imported some of the most brilliant minds for many generations before you. also, I think that your strength is being a couple and for as long as you'll be together, you'll always be complete.
I’m a 50 year old headbanger. I’ve been watching hours of your content for the last few days. Your my very favorite Reaction channel. I’ve heard most every song in real Time. It’s all you guys. I see you guys as Beautiful People. God Bless, Be Blessed.
I'm a 21 year combat veteran with metal parts making up most of my body and I love you guys. I'd love to be able to contribute to what you do but it's just not in the cards right now. But love to you none the less.
I’m a conservative white 48 year old man from Georgia…. I really love your reactions because it takes me back to the time when I first heard these songs. And sometimes it reintroduces me to songs I haven’t heard in years…. And I’ll go on a deep dive into those artists for days. And sometimes I hear something myself for the first time and I can react right along with you guys. Thanks for all you do….
You guys are precious !!! I love Lex laugh. She makes me laugh. Y’all’s personality balances out each other so well. May God bless you both !!! We gonna keep on watching 🤓
I’m a 59 year old hippie and I enjoy you two so much. You are so down to earth and both of you are so thoughtful in your unique ways. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing as long as it makes your souls happy. Thanks for sharing yourselves with us 😀
If you have 2 or 3 REAL friends you are lucky. People suck for the most part. Thank you for sharing your positive light with us because you two really do shine.
I started watching you because you were covering a song I liked. I returned because of Lex's smile and insights. I return because it's fun to watch the regard you have for each other...and to see what you think of songs. Keep your relationship #1 in this whole thing. Peace, love, and all the good stuff you can imagine.
I do movie reactions and y'all are the only two people who's music reactions I've watched more than once. you two are amazing at this. don't change a thing.
You just have to remember always that you have many thousands of supporters/internet family from all over the world watching out for you, watching your back. We're with you, Brad and Lex, every step of the way. I'm in the UK and all I every knew about the US was what I watched in the TV/films/movies, or what I see on American news channels. I had no idea how real Americans lived or thought... now, thanks to you, I do. x
If you've read any comments from me, you already know I adore you guys. I hope you also realize that as much as it is nice for you to see how good people can be (outside of the mainstream narratives), it is every bit as nice for all of us to see such a delightful and brilliant young couple like yourselves. I'm 53 years old and you might not believe how AWESOME it makes me feel inside to feel like we're just sitting around jamming to all my records and your reactions bring me so much joy. Not to be mean, but I do not experience too many people from the younger generations that I can respect intellectually. You two are a breath of fresh air. I love watching you guys pondering lyrics, segueing into deeper thoughts about life in general. I would be so proud if I had children and they grew up to be just like the two of you and enjoyed hanging out with dear old dad. Just chillin' and jammin'.
yes, uplifting people during dark times is a great motivator to do this channel! Also, you'll never run out of songs to react to. You could do the top 10 of every year from 1960 to 2000. That should keep you busy for a loooong time!
They usually do 5/day. Maybe not everyday ?? Anyway, 40 years * top 10 = 400 / 5 = 80 days. But yeah, there is a s*&^ton of music out there for people with open minds
As a camera-shy old person I am just amazed at how comfortable and authentic you two can be on camera for so much of every day. I could never do this in a million years. I just get anxious and tongue tied. So I learn something about how to relax and be comfortable making videos every time I watch one of your videos. I also admire your commitment to doing this for a living and making it work. I don't know, that seems really courageous to me. Thank you for enriching my life.
Wow thank you ♥️ that’s really nice of you to say. We weren’t always this comfortable but i think it just takes some practice getting used to it. Its odd talking to a camera for sure lol.
You guys are wonderful and you most certainly DO have a purpose. You never fail to make me feel good every single day. I've been a music nerd for over 50 years and your love, enthusiasm, and respect and open-mindedness for music always puts a smile on my face. I hope your channel continues and grows for many years to come. And more prog! 🙂
You guys are a cool, sweet couple and deserve all the love we can send you. Your content is fun and honest, so refreshing with very little politics. Keep up the great reviews maybe even try some movies.
I've only been watching you vids for a week or so. Y'all make a very entertaining team - like a great comedy duo where Brad's the straight and man and Lex is free spirit who blurts out whatever is going through that beautiful mind. While Brad's focusing on the meaning of a song, Lex is getting lost in the flow. You two seem like a great couple and your interaction is just enjoyable to watch. Please don't ever lose that salt-of-the-earth quality...
The thing I like about you guys is that, those of us who experienced this music for the 1st time, get to relive that experience through you. I remember hearing Lynyrd Skynyrd when they first hit the scene and we all reacted to it the same way Lex does, It's fun to watch!
I got hooked on you guys about 6 months ago and feel like we are friends...it's funny how when you let people in to your life through something like RU-vid, that you have all these random friends you don't even know haha. Keep it up, always entertaining and interesting. Your friend in Southern Utah!
On the financial stuff, I'm going to offer advice that helped me. The first thing you do is get organized! I currently run a task manager showing the days bills are due so I'm never late and I can plan ahead. Second thing is, always pay yourself first, put back a percentage of what you bring in so you have something to fall back on when you can't pay your bills. I have faith in you both, you'll get there, just stay true to yourselves and keep being humble
I am so happy for both of you. I think what you guys give more than any other reactors is you guys are really transparent and give so much of yourselves. I never feel like it is an act. I often wonder why reactions are so popular and I think it is because it is a sense of community, a lot of people are lonely or do not have a lot of positive in their lives (especially with how the pandemic changed things), you guys provide something positive to people who need it, your subscribers really love you and you guys whether you know it or not help so many people. Can't wait until you guys can afford to get out of the trailer park and there is a little Brad & Lex running around. Stay true to each other and make sure you take some time for yourselves and do not let all of this overwhelm you. God bless you both and I hope this continues and grows!
I find yalls energy refreshing, calming, and genuine. So during stressful times, listening to yalls voices during the conversation, watching the interaction between you two, paired with the background music, can be something that helps me feel grounded. It feels like just hanging out with grounded, non-judgmental friends which is NICE. Hard to explain, but I wanted to give my personal opinion/explanation since Brad was asking about how that works for people. Much love, friends 💛
I started following you guys around 6 months ago and you have become one of my favorite channels. You guys are real. You balance each other out very well, not only on your reactions but I'm sure in life as well. I love Lexi's quirky nature and comments, yet astute ability to understand and pick up on some of the musical nuance as well as Brad's very analytical and logical approach to evaluating lyrics. I'm in my upper 50's and really enjoy watching you guys react to much of the music I grew up with. As far as losing some friends over your RU-vid channel, my guess is envy. Basic human nature sadly. Keep up the great work, God bless, and all the best. Love your way from Dallas.
Remember that music will always bring people together, regardless of what they are "going" through... We will always have stress that comes our way. It's how we react to it makes all the difference. Haters will always hate or critique what you are doing with your channel. Love all your videos and I love how Lex is the "musical mastermind" with all her musical insights.... lol.... Sending positive vives your way guys!!!!!!! Keep on keeping on!!!!!
I think you two are absolutely awesome. So happy for you that you have found a purpose to do what you love. Noting comes easy and success isn’t overnight, but you two will achieve whatever dreams you have. Things happen for a reason and you have found a forum to explore things you like, while at the same time bringing joy to so many others. Music is a very personal and emotional experience that can appeal to people of all ages and color and you’ve tapped into that full throttle. Your personalities are so different from each other but when put together are perfect for the viewers with your different reactions. I think it’s safe to say that all of us hope you achieve your wildest dreams with the path your on together and it’s so refreshing to see the joy you not only have in doing what you love, but what you bring to us as viewers, especially in this time of division that is so prevalent everywhere now. God Bless you two, and keep up the good work.
Love you guys. You are so down to earth. I feel like I know you two. My favorite reaction channel. You don't mess around for what seems 30 minutes with a bunch of talk. You guys get right to it and you always have the best songs. 70' and 80's kid here. Stay the way you are. Bless you.
One of my fav quotes. Applies to you guys. "Some people are never going to clap for you. Win anyway!!" 👏👏👏👏 I'm clapping big time for y'all!! Love ya's
Does anybody care how MY LIFE has changed? No! Does anybody care about ME? Of course not! My life gets 'interrupted' by your reaction videos at least twice a day! (thank you). My life has more laughter from Lex bouncing around on that couch! (thank you). My life is more frustrating by Brad's intense and constipated looks while trying to dissect the effortless lyrics of Kiss and The Bangles! Love you guys! Keep up the great work!
When people follow their truth, only love is reflected as truth is love and love is truth. Happiness is a choice as is misery. Glad you are leaning towards happiness as you both deserve it.
Here is something that changed for me. I am always recognized by people when I am out. Especially when I am at a home improvement store. People will ask if I am "Flannel Guy". Then, there are people in my life who do not know I have this youtube channel, then they see one of my videos because they are searching for something and when they see me..... OMG. By the way Brad and Lex, if you ever need any home repair advice just let me know.
I watch your channel because you guys are just authentic, down to earth etc. Nothing seems acted or forced with some catchy channel intro, just fun reactions. Sometimes Brad smiles from ear to ear and I have no idea why. I think that's when he really like a song. And other times its like someone is pumping rainbows into Lex's ears, I doubt there's anything she cant dance to. But what I really enjoy is seeing people react to great music for the first time. Most of what you guys cover is what I grew up with, and you guys are helping me expand my music library. There is no secret to your success, it seems pretty obvious to me. Good thing come to good people, here is to a brighter future for you two.
I am (To echo another gentleman here) also "old as dirt. I am 62, my wife is 54. I started watching reaction videos about a year ago, and maybe 6 months ago, I happened upon your channel. I now find myself looking for new content, and sometimes rewatching old content. I enjoy the interplay between the two of you, and your reaction to music you've never heard before, and the look of delight when you find some amazing music that you hadn't heard before..... Lex is so excitable, and IN the music, while Brad is more stoic..... Thank you for making the videos, and sharing your lives and personalities with us....... Chin up! The two of you are good examples of what other people (Old and young) should aspire to be. You're both kind and level headed, and love each other. Rock on, and thanks again!
I have no Idea about either of you. I do not give out subs... But you two get one from me. So sincere. Please, you two, never stop out serving each other.
Subscribers changing peoples lives through RU-vid you see all the time. But having subscribers basically redecorating and refurnice your home is something else :D
You guys are amazing, you might think that your in a dumpy trailer but you guys are super sweet and very well rounded . It doesn't matter where you live as long as your happy right? And you both are always so happy and nice but we're human and we all get bad days. Don't ever let anyone get you down and don't ever change for anyone else. Do what you love love what you do
I have been watching you now for about 4 months. I look for your new reactions daily. I love how genuine you both are! I feel like you are my people, and I love hanging out listening to music with you. Especially watching you discover our music from our youth! Love you both!
You guys are good peoples. Keep it up, you make me smile and I'm sure you're making a lot of other people smile too. I'm 65 and living in Japan and so, keep it up, you're reaching people all over!
I love you both. This channel is like watching family. The genuineness of you both is so refreshing. I love how you discuss your reactions with each other. I hope all of your dreams come true, I think that they will because good things happen to good people. I have many health problems and you both truly are the best medicine. I love you both, thank you! ✌️❤🙂
I know this is 11 months later and you’ll probably never see this, but I have been to so many concerts in my younger years, Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart, Heart, Foreigner, Ozzy, Steve Miller Band, and others that y’all react too. It brings back good memories. May God Bless You and little Jack(won’t be long now) with happiness and joy. BTW, my sister I have awesome sweet cats named “Jack!” Unfortunately, I lost her before Christmas from a blood clot after receiving the jab 💉, like so many others. 😢 Your reactions are so much different and better than others I’ve watched because you include your viewers with your set up! 🥰
2 extremely genuine people. Love your channel and started sharing with my friends. Keep being kind and real and everything will come to you both. Brad, always run fast and get your Best friend that ice cream lol! Seriously though. Stay safe!
I always wondered why there was no Hip-Hop reactions because classic Hip-Hop from the '90s those reactions are popular and they do numbers like a Throw Back Thursday for Hip-Hop
You guys and Modern Renaissance Man are my favorite reaction channels to watch. You both are genuine and get something different than everyone else, and I love that. The way Brad tries to find meaning and depth in the lyrics, while Lex is just feeling a song out and then trying to make some oddball analogy that fits makes you two quite the balanced pair that is fun to watch. I'm glad that you guys are getting the attention you deserve, not because you're "there", but because your reactions endeared us viewers to you guys. Good people like to see good people succeed. As a RU-vidr myself, one thing I discovered is that you may never fully know how your content will reach other people. I just make gaming vids and lame jokes, but I didn't know that my content was being watched by someone who was bedridden and in extreme pain on a daily basis, and my content gave that person a break from thinking about the hard time they were going through. That person showered me with real gifts of all kinds in gratitude, and I wasn't really prepared for that. Hell, she "adopted" me into her family! I certainly don't make my content to get things from people, but it just goes to show that making videos isn't exactly a small thing to the viewers. It's easy to take what you do, and your viewers for granted. Gotta stay grounded, humble, and grateful. You never know who you will "meet" making videos either. When I first started, less than 30 subscribers, I got comments from a person with every video. This lady was sweet, friendly, and interested in what I was doing in my videos. She was popular for her comments in other channels as well, and without making a video, she had 300 subscribers. She expressed to me that she wanted to make videos, but she was afraid she sounded like a little girl. So me, and several others in the community relating to that particular game, encouraged her to just do a video. Well, she made a video of her playing Skyrim, and literally overnight, she went from 300 subs to 30,000 subs, and real fast went up to 100,000, and now 7 years later she's up around 1 million. She was interviewed by developers, gaming news journalists, she got real big. She was even mentioned by Snoop Dogg and George Takei (Mr. Sulu from Star Trek). On top of that, she got a Guinness Book of World Records for the oldest gaming person on RU-vid. She's even had a mod made that has a virtual version of herself in the game! That person is "Grandma" Shirley Curry, and she's over 80 years old. She's also a dear personal friend of mine. But all this isn't to brag, it is to demonstrate how being encouraging to someone can do some really great and remarkable things. You'll never know how something simple and mundane will affect someone's life! It don't matter if it is gaming videos, or reaction videos. And this isn't to lessen those that have helped me in collabs along the way either. I know for me personally, videos can help you bond with family better. Because "Grandma" Shirley made videos, it showed my mom, who is 78 and has early stage Alzheimer's, that gaming isn't just for kids. My mom is also a technophobe. I have to show her how to use a TV remote, and she's prone to breaking things like the USB plug in on Bluetooth headphones. But because of Shirley's videos, my mom got interested in those things, where otherwise she wouldn't have. She got interested in what I was doing, as well as the people I talk to. So it was a way my mom and I could bond together, where otherwise we wouldn't have overlapping interests. It is especially powerful now, since my dad passed away back in December, and my mom needs to be distracted from missing him. Sorry for the long message, but I thought maybe some of this would be inspirational, make you think, some you might already know how it is from experience, but in the end, you're in a position and on a website that can do so much for you and others, and sometimes even I don't know the potential good that can come from it. Love and appreciate all you do, hope for the best for you both, and remember that God works in mysterious ways, so God Bless!
Hahaha! I hear you so well! I have those same sleeping hours and it is crazy trying to get motivated to get to town and take care of business before 5PM. LOL!
Lex gets so excited like I do when I hear the ice cream man music in the neighborhood!! 🥳 you both are awesome and the only tubers I watch now. It’s all I have time for. Keep rocking on! 🥰
I watched a few other "reaction" videos before I stumbled across the Brad & Lex videos. A few of the things I've noticed from watching your videos: You pick some great songs to play. You both have interesting views on the songs. And you both come across as really cool people. I believe your vibes attract the viewers. Thank you for just being real!
Keep it up, guys! Waiting for the 1 million mark! I like got guys cuz you're honest on your views. Like it or not, everyone has different views but if you're honest about it, we feel you.
Lex's comment about not thinking the same way about a song after a few more listens is really interesting! I've yet to see a channel revisit their past reactions and talk about what they were thinking during the initial listen and what's changed since then. I don't know if people would like to see that but could be interesting. Keep up the good work guys, you're awesome!
I have music I love where my initial reaction to it was, "What the hell is this??" Sometimes your ears just aren't ready for something. Here and there I go back to music and see if my opinion has changed. It's kind of interesting when it goes the opposite way, too. There's a lot of music that I liked in the beginning of what I call my "rock journey" that I simply can't listen to anymore 😂
@@ijustneedmyself ha! I know what you mean! There also some songs that I've listen to over and over at a certain time in my life that just don't resonate with me anymore. I think that's ok though!
We love y'all! Especially because you're fellow Floridians :) Thank you for sharing your experiences with all of us and keep doing what you do because y'all do it so well.
Y'all don't know me, but I'm just some middle-aged schlub in TX, with two kids at our alma mater in College Station, TX, and long-tenured meteorologist about to retire in a few years. Have had numerous surgeries and dealt with 6-7 day weeks, rotating weekly shiftwork for nearly 30 years and feel I'm luckly to be alive being I've almost died twice. My parents had a violent divorce when I was 10 and my older only sibling brother had to make some hard decisions for us and I remember living hand-to-mouth with my mom working job after job, or multiple jobs and I'm just blessed to be where I am. I know my life's changing (or morphing) into it's last chapter eventually. Thanks for all y'all do and your sincerity and openness. Love you guys! Just remember y'all, money doesn't always bring happiness...it just doesn't. As long as you have each other and love, it may sound cliche', but it's all that matters. I know firsthand that "it doesn't pay the bills", but I'd rather be poor, in love, and happy (love my wife of almost 30 years) than rich, depressed, and miserable with people who only want to be and act like your friend because of your money and not because they care about you. Just remember that, k?
I have watched a ton of these "Reaction" channels and you two are the best, I think I can speak for the majority of your subscribers. You are just good people. and Alex is so doggone adorable it is impossible not to love her. and we just want good things to happen to good people. God is good and He will continue to bless you, we are all pulling for you
Lex and Brad, I first saw your channel and you were reviewing one of my favorite rock songs from the 70,s. I clicked on it because I as an old white dude in my 60,s who grew up and lived through the 70,s rock era wanted to see how a young black couple would respond to it. I was totally surprised by your honest response to the music, how you as a couple broke the songs down and gave positive thoughts on all my favorites. I subscribed that first day and watch all your reviews when I can. Now I found your blog channel and I'm hooked for sure. From Brad working on his old truck to whatever the day brings for you all. Very refreshing channels for real. Keep them coming and I hope the best for you both.
This conversation was very enlightening. I honestly had no idea how this "you-tube" business works. I hope you obtain success and fulfill your hopes and satisfy your wishes. You definitely are amusing and interesting, and you both complement each other very well too. Keep up the good work!
I'm an older guy... but you guys are so kind and into the music I love. Love the reviews... love that you are representing the past AND a great couple. Its fun to watch you. I get excited when you like my favorite songs LOL Thanks for your honesty and openness. You're both very cool.
