Palworld is the 2nd to latest survival game in a 10 year reign of this genre that stems back to Minecraft and Terraria. In more recent years games like Rust or Ark Survival Evolved or Valheim or even some extent Lethal Company have taken the spotlight and now in this palworld review we'll cover how Palworld is next in line. You can even see some inspiration from some games like Factorio or Satisfactory.
With many Pokemon fans unhappy with the latest titles such as Pokemon Arceus or Pokemon Violet it perfectly open the gap for a company to do not only a good pokemon game but a game that changes the flow up. And that was pokemon with guns game aka palworld. And it was a hell of a great time.
It's nowhere near what a game like Project Zomboid is in terms of survival elements, but it slammed enough ideas together to make a very fun unique experience that you cannot get anywhere else.
What you have just watched is one of our game reviews where we breakdown some of our favorite games review them in an action pack review. Our style is inspired by people we love watching like ssethtzeentach, mandaloregaming, videogamedunkey, and martincitopants, but of course we add our own touch and a metric ton of memes.

I could see the Pokémon company taking note of Palworld, with the intent of releasing their own adult version. Palworld couldn't go after them because, they the Pokémon company could point and say they copyright them. So let's talk about this. Everyone is so upset about pal worlds. When In reality, the majority of pal worlds the closest thing to Pokemon is the style of the characters. The core gameplay of pal worlds is more survival then Pokemon completely different. Yet when this game, tem tem released. NO ONE was making a big deal about it being a legit rip off of Pokemon. Turned based, monster catcher/tamer. Walk through grass a tem tem jumps out at u an so much more. Seems to me, the real reason people are making such as issue out of this game. Is because it's an actual threat to the Pokemons franchise/community. Because it either out beats/sells the next Pokemon. Or it forces Pokemon to make an actual good game Wich they haven't done in years

They just branched out into open-world with Zelda (I thought the new games were godawful, but at least it was an attempt). At least the creatures are able to create a self sustaining ecosystem that benefits them in this game. And you could argue the protagonist is doing it out of necessity. In Pokémon it's purely for sport, you capture them solely with the intent on making them fight each other until one of them dies, or is "Fainted". Or for endlessly breeding them like livestock. Until they are inevitably sealed into a ball where they will rot until death. All so people can feel adventurous. Don't get me wrong- I don't think there's anything wrong with Pokémon, it's just a video game. Just like Palworld is.

In Palworld, you CAN mistreat your Pals. But you don't have to. You can make your base a utopia with good food, comfy beds and relaxed, healthy work conditions. You don't even have to order them to work, they'll just do it. They wanna be helpful, it seems.

The only true thing that sucks about this game is the building system that hardly let's you do stuff that you want (overlaps, too near to a facility/Boss) and sometimes the framerates start to stutter. Love the human and animal rights violations that should or already are written down in the Geneva Convention.

I think that's a deliberate decision on development/early access stage. Since building is not the CORE mechanic, it is left for future updates. All survival games in Steam have the same history.

@@D3adCl0wn yeah, just small critic. Everything else is great. Even DLSS doesn't have this weird fading that any other game has. Also sometimes Pals have problems with their path finding which sometimes is just hilarious. Penking sitting on top of my wooden defense wall, some pals go downstairs and get stuck because the limitations of my base is a hair thickness too short and other silly stuff. It's you get your starter pokemon, fight gym leaders, get a special item that makes your pokemon stronger, grind endless amounts of xp, challenge the elite 4, and become pokemon champion. The only games that diverge from this path is mystery dungeon which isn't even made by gamefreak XD.

Those are ACTUALLY turn based RPGs like pokemon, meanwhile palworld is closer to Ark: Survival Evolved than Pokemon, really. Is it just because _this one_ did gangbusters and those didn't? @@colbyboucher6391 well Palworld just came at the right time, with a bit of luck and marketing of course, with all news controversy with Pokémon, more people got curious to try it out, it took off. Remember, The Day Before got lucky with the hype but ended up being a total disaster, wish a proper game had that hype instead. We need better curated content. Discoverability is hard, there’s so many games coming out on Steam, there’s hidden gems in all of that “noise”.
