I was gang-raped by three men, masterminded by my ex-neighbor. When I spoke out, he went to the police and falsely portrayed me as the abuser, when in fact I'm the victim. He is now crying foul and playing the victim, and has pressed defamation charges against me. The case has been in the Magistrate Court in Benin City for the past two years. The difference between this young guy and me is that, I didn't succumb to pressure from the police and the supposed complainant, but stood my ground and have been fighting for my rights and justice for the past three years, mirabel center, Lagos state assault and domestic violence agency, women advocates right and Documentation Centre and many more are all aware of this case.
