🎉 great presentation topic on wealth of India immigrants community. I know a patel family 👪 the patel was a engineer who brought his family and others to America funneling his pay into the motel business and having entry level visa immigrants working the business in all mom and pop operations. Then buying more motels, storefronts and restaurants as the immigrant community needed employment then building the pyramid way of wealth.
🎉 great topic on first generation of wealth in America 🇺🇸 even as the African-American early immigration story of horrific conditions endured as cheap labor. First generation of African American wealth of the 60s and 70s were chicken joints, fish fry joints, barber shops, hair salons and housecleaners. Now African American culture now embrace their earlier African and carribbean cultures in a new cuisine model as health and wellness industry dictates a healthy lifestyle of living.
Just seeing your (excellent) video now. In answer to your question about similar stories of other immigrant groups, one comes to mind: Cambodian immigrants dominate the market for donuts, at least in southern California (I'm not sure how widespread their reach is), where they own hundreds of donut shops. There is a good documentary film called "The Donut King" about that story of immigrant success.
Answer to your question how? Answer is thereafter are lot of pillar to create foundation. I hope this Indians or any owners do not attitude issues. I dont know much but my Indian wife talks around d the house with her friends. Heard lot of betrayals from the business owners from hotels and motels. They are good looking but guts are bad, personally views. One guy living next door told us.. food are good ... but very smart that can chew your blood vessels and veins away...
