Guys, i have the Mcc cape and the Cherry bossom in bedrock, and i tried to tell moyang to give them to my java account, they denied my request for these stuff. :(
I'd maybe suggest waitting a few days and trying again, I submitted my sync request before this cape exploit became widely used and Mojang responded to me within 20 minutes and were happy to transfer my missing capes over.
According On Namemc people still getting blossom cape, I mean the numbers of players owned the cape rises day to day for some reason. Maybe cape disturbution still ongoing?
So the way namemc works is that it only registers ownership once you've equipped the cape. In this sense, it's possible that they are still distributing but it also could just be people are equipping it for the first time. I do remember reading on the wiki that genuine distribution could also still be ongoing given not every player who voted had recieved them yet. I know I voted but never got given one, something I should definitely message the support team about but I'm a bit worried they'll think I'm lying given the current situation :)
Is that way the mcc cape keeps growing even though it slowed down drastically, because logically there's no way that 100k ppl complete 15 challenges within 7 days
I'm quite surprised with how many people were able to complete the challenges actually. Whilst they weren't difficult, I'd have thought them being on Bedrock would've meant a lot more people missed out. The reason it probably keeps growing though is that some people won't have immediately worn their capes, which means sites like namemc wouldn't have been able to know they owned it. It's only when people equip the capes and go online that they get cached and added to their profiles. Some people also only got the cape given to them on bedrock, which requires support to manually transfer the cape over to their Java accounts, and thus leads to a delay in them being counted too.
Sorry, but I have just 2 questions. How does one go about doing this; I get how to contact support, but is there something specific you have to say? What is the discord you have mentioned? I know I am eligible for the vanilla cape, but never received it alongside my migrator cape. Thank you.
The exploit itself doesn't work anymore, but people were using social engineering, or at times just writing the names of the capes, and it would grant them to their accounts on occasion. If you're eligible for the vanilla and migrator, you can try to ask support to check and grant them to your account, but they might take a while to respond or to investigate given the high number of cape related tickets they were receiving.
The most common one was along the lines of "Help I don't have cherry blossom cape help?" or some people literally got it by just putting the name of the cape apparently, really weird stuff.
@@Geckeos that’s crazy to me. I’ve been trying for over year every few weeks or months and emailing them about how I never received the vanilla cape. It sucks knowing I just missed the cutoff in receiving a cape I am eligible for haha.
I'm not 100% sure at the moment, theoretically asking them to sync the capes should be fine but there's no concrete way of knowing whether they've stopped doing it yet or not. You might also be waiting a while for a response given all the cape tickets they've probably gotten over the last few days.
@@Geckeos here's some good news.. it worked mate in 2nd ticket.. the first 1 i got a ticket the migration has ended when i actually have not mentioned migrating in it but in the second one i mentioned that both capes r messing in java.. got a response after 2 hours that the capes are in my java account now so yeah still works.. Bruh. I had played Bedrock on windows 10 on two of my accounts, but only one of the accounts got the vanilla cape. Then I hear that some people got the vanilla cape from just clicking a button for free a few years prior. And two of my other accounts never got the cherry cape even though they voted in the mob vote. How are people are exploiting Minecraft support for free capes? This system just makes no sense, bruh. Just, bruh.
Yeah I don't understand it given that support never used to have any control over granting capes. I voted in the mob vote but never got the cherry blossom cape given, can't imagine they'll be willing to grant it now though with all the people lying to get it.
i seen the video from tuao and its still on the internet archive im also confisdent more then 20k capes has been granted i fucking went trough a arhcivee of namemc using wayback machine and seen 10k more capes appear out of nowhere for the cherry blossom cape
Did you manage to get anything with this method? I saw recently that two cobalt capes were gotten from support not too long ago, so no idea how deep these issues might be, even if this method was allegedly "fixed".
This kinda sucks because I actually do have a cape that I actually deserve but never got (the Vanilla cape) and now there's no way Mojang will trust me.
That's cool, I'm only missing the cherry blossom cape on my main but didn't find out about the workaround until after they'd started cracking down on it

And thank you for the video about twitch and TikTok cape, i already had them but did not know they could get synced from bedrock to Java edition. So i just got 3 new capes on Java because of you :)
I have the 6 free capes on my account at the moment, the only one I missed was the cherry blossom one and then I didn't find out about this method until they started to crack down on it ahaha. I'm glad my vid helped you with the syncing though, definitely some of the cooler capes that are available in my opinion :)

i got hacked worst time possible, i am currently talking to minecraft support about giving capes back and im worried abt never getting it becouse of this stupid exploit.
If you just mean your account was hacked, Mojang support are usually quite good at helping get it back so long as you have the original account information.
I got forced to migrate previously when one of my accounts got hacked, I can't say I've had any problems since though. If you really care about the capes, you might still be able to get your account back if you have some of the original creation information like transaction id. Alternatively, alts with some of the free capes on seem to be relatively inexpensive.

Support is probably quite overwhelmed with tickets at the moment because of how many people know about this. That probably means it'll take longer than usual for them to answer any requests
I'd wait a couple more days to see if they do respond, I only had to wait about 20 minutes personally but that was well before everyone else was submitting requests
Huh, I don't get it A few months back I wrote to the Minecraft Support because I never received my Vanilla Cape. I provided them all necessary information -- including the order confirmations -- because as far as I understand it, I am eligible for it. They were really sweet in their responses but said they couldn't add capes or transfer them between accounts. So how did people manage to receive capes via "social engineering" the support?
Yeah, it's just the mysteries of the support system. I'd suggest trying again to see if you get a different response now, though I'm not sure how long it'll take given the exploit that just happened and the amount of tickets they got. Support has been plagued with numerous issues over the years tbf, I even saw a recent video about how someone managed to get support to give them a minecon cape of all things.

Yeah, I can't really be sure on the response time atm as I've heard conflicting things. I'd imagine they should be able to see that you qualify for it quite easily though, so hopefully it's not too much of a hassle.
