Living in the Philippines has its own unique advantages and challenges. While we may not have access to all the amenities that other developed countries offer, Filipinos are known for making the most of what we have. We put a strong emphasis on family, and many Filipinos are willing to work abroad for long periods in order to support their loved ones. The Philippines is a country that has experienced poverty, but it is also a country that is rich in love, resilience and kindness among its people.
@delightfultravellers We make that sign for the bill, because we say "CAN I HAVE THE CHECK (bill) PLEASE! The shape of a money or checkbook thus the rectangular shape sign.😊

i have news for you guys...people have always watched because of you two!! Yes, we love the locations, but we can see the locations on hundreds of other YT channels, but it's you...your sincerity, heart and information that keeps us coming back!!
As a Filipino-American who spent his childhood in Pickering, Ontario and has lived his adult life in California, it is great seeing Canadians enjoying their time in the country of my heritage!
I suggest to you to go North the next time you come to the Philippines. There are good destinations such as Baguio, La Union, Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte, The Heritage Site of Vigan in Ilocos Sur. Also the Hundref Islands and Bolinao beaches in Pangasinan.
I’m a follower of your channel,a filipina living in NZ.About the sign of the hand by the customer, it means that they’re asking for a “ chit”,or simply the bill of the food you ordered.
Camiguin Island isn’t far from Bohol, it’s so relaxed and friendly you really need to check it out. Our first trip to the Philippines was 2011 and we were amazed at how happy Filipinos are compared to Canadians. 🤷♂️
Jollibee is awesome, I love the chicken better than that other chicken place starting with K. There are many opening in Canada now which is nice to see. Trevor let your hair grow, become a hippe, LOL. That is sign language for check/bill. Learned that the first day I was in the Philippines. Continue to do it whenever I'm back in Philippines. Enjoy Korea
Thank you for the appreciation of the entire Philippines. You are always welcome here. If you feel at home, just come back anytime you want and enjoy life. Thank you too for bringing good memories of your stay when you get home to your country. Just think of the Philippines as your second home when you get bored, just come back and enjoy....
Thanks too for coming back here in our country, Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤️...I hope you'll visit us again. Good luck 👍 🍀 God bless and have a safe flight ✈️ 💖 ✈️
When u are in a restaurant and you are abt to leave and pay, you ask for your bill to pay and you just signal to the waiter or waitress horizontally and he/ she understood it already that you are paying off your food. Ty
Your unwavering affection for the Philippines, its rich culture, and the warmth of its people has left an indelible mark on our hearts. We will surely miss you, but we encourage you to keep exploring the wonders of our beloved land. Make sure to add destinations like the breathtaking Calaguas Island, the surf paradise of Siargao, the pristine beaches of Port Barton in Palawan, and the tranquil shores of Caramoan to your bucket list. May your travels continue to bring you boundless joy, and we express our gratitude for sharing your experiences with us.
Thank you for appreciating the beauty of our country. Feel free to comeback whenever you want, there's so much to explore, you're always welcome! Be safe and God bless you on your next destination.
It was nice of you guys to have made those kind words to Filipinos. Hope you had a safe and enjoyable trip to South Korea. I really enjoyed all your vlogs in the Philippines.👍🏼❤️
The horizontal “square” is, as you guessed, mimicking the shape of the check. No idea how it got started but it became the de facto signal to the serve staff that you’re ready to pay the bill. Thank you so much for your videos. I’m a Filipino living abroad and you have allowed me to experience the beauty of my beloved country through your lens. Looking forward to seeing your Seoul videos.
Awe you guys … I’m sorry you have to deal with the negative people out there in the online world. I actually feel bad for those people who have nothing better to do than try to spread their negativity… Misery loves company I guess… it’s sad but unfortunately true. Just look at the positive and uplifting comments you get !!! Definitely outweighs the bad stuff. I know it’s easier said than done - but try to ignore it. You guys are out there living your best life!!! Don’t let that stuff get to you. Keep doing what you’re doing. Your content is fantastic!!!! All the love and best wishes sent your way. Safe travels!!!! I look forward to your content every week 💕
I enjoy your videos. It must be hard to ignore the bad comments. It baffles me that people do that. Love the insights to the Philippines! We will add it to our wish list of countries.
It originated in the our local Bars. "chits" were smaller back then, then it became horizontally bit longer. The 'rectangle' gesture came from the 'figure' of Credit cards & ATM Cards, and obviously easier to gesture than to do a vertical rectangle gesturing.
Anna and Trevor, thanks for coming back and showing us, those living in the states the beauty of the Philippine Islands😊. One day, we're definitely going to visit based on your videos. Will still follow you on your new adventures. Bon Voyage!
MS . ANNA & SIR TREVOR , THANK YOU BEING BACK HERE ON OUR COUNTRY ( PHILIPPINES ) . ENJOY TO YOUR NEXT DESTINATION . SALAMAT PO !!!!! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️👍👋✌️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

I discovered you guys during the pandemic with Jumping places. Love your channel and love how you have grown! I work in SK and there is a large community of Filipinos here . I do agree they are some of the nicest most kindest people I have ever met. Happy you got to come back to this beautiful country! Great job Trevor and Anna.. you guys are awesome 🥰
Becoming Filipino vlog is a Canadian that soon to be Filipino Citizen. He lives in the Philippines long time ago. Take care guys and comeback again in the Philippines.
Awwwww. This video made me teary-eyed. I guess you know that the Philippines is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world. We have about 20 typhoons a year, some of which are super typhoons; we have floods, landslides, devastating volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and earthquakes. All those--aside from the fact that we live in a beautiful country--have helped make us what we are, the way you describe us, taking one day at a time, being calm and peaceful. Come back soon!
Thank you for your presence and appreciation to us all Pinoys. Just keep it in thy heart the humbling positivity, kindness, and meekness we Pinoys showed you. Spread the Love...❤ Take a lot of care...😊
A fellow Canadian (Montreal) who really likes your channel. Been to SE Asia 3 times but never the Philippines. Planning to go next year... not sure about that haircut though!
Ya i remember you are in covid time stuck in the philippines and now you will go home again thanks you always come in the philippines, hope you enjoy again.
Just subscribed guys; it gives me goosebumps to hear you both talk positively of our home country (living in Las Vegas); it has its flaws, and not perfect by any means; but, its people and the culture are its hidden gems. Enjoy guys, and God speed!
Thank you guys for visiting our country and appreciating our people, culture and natural wonders.. Keep safe in your travel and feel free to come back anytime.
You were always welcome here beautiful people..keep safe on ur travels..GODBLESS ALWAYS..hope u'll comeback again so u can travel more up North..👍🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

God bless us start and end your day with our ALMIGHTY GOD. THANK you so much for visiting Philippines. Enjoy your life and keep on smiling so that you have long life and healthy. From Lani D. Nepomuceno, Philippines 🇵🇭
that gesture of showing the rectangular square horizontally actually originates years ago in a night pubs. Because by that time, normally, Bills to pay are written or printed on a horizontally rectangular shape of Paper. And in the night spots, to impress women, you dont need to show gesturing cash, Bills or cheque's catches their attention easily during those times. If you pay your bills by cheque's, women will be thinking you really have money. And so as time pass by, it was adopted by all establishments, restaurants, fastfoods, even recreational spots gesturing the rectangular shape that means "you are asking for your Bills to pay"
You may want to explore Bicol next time. There's Caramoan, the place where Survivor Sweden was filmed, Calaguas Island in Camarines Norte, Mayon Volcano in Albay, whale shark in Sorsogon and the falls that goes directly to the sea. Also, the light house in Catanduanes are amazing.
I started watching you both during lockdown..seeing you both going thru the pandemic made me feel connected weird I know…love you both thanks for sharing your emotions and journey…you inspire me… planning my trip with my daughter to Scotland over the summer..can’t wait..safe travels ❤
The reason why we ask for the check that way because the olden times , they usually write the check in a rectangular shape paper and that’s how it started.
@Delightful Travellers how can I not? I'm from the Philippines but now live in Toronto, I love to travel along, I like to think that I am travelling with you in spirit. 😂
I cant imagine how anyone could find anything negative to say about either of you or your videos. It seems like some people might just like to be negative all the time. Thank you for sharing.
