I'm sick and tired of listening about the past glory of PIA. For the last 20 years, PIA has been nothing but a horror show for the travelers who make the blunder of buying its ticket. PIA offices are full of target killers and I would not advise ordinary people to even visit those offices alone. I was beaten up by PIA employees over a minor dispute. I complained at many places inside Pakistan, but those complains were ignored like countless other complains. I have written to international regulatory bodies against PIA and have come across more individuals who were beaten up by PIA employees.

کسی بھی ادارے کے لوگ اس کی کامیابی یا زوال کی بڑی وجہ ہوتے ہیں ، پی ائی اے کے زوال کی سب سے بڑی وجہ اس کے اپنے لوگ ہیں ،ان لوگوں کو عوام سے بات کرنے کی تمیزتک نہیں

PIA trained almost 20-25 countries, PIA kitchen was very famous that most of the airlines in 80s used to avail services of PIA kitchen. Hotels were owned by PIA. In 2009 average age of PIA planes was between 23-27 years. with the start of 90s and people like khakan abassi PIA started to decline. Major role in decline was played by over staffing due to parchi system. Non Technical and fazool sports person + politicians + army peeps were installed in PIA.
It was destroyed by management, sindhi political hirings, Bad decisions by management, Air Marshalls that held the charge and by bureaucrats and Govt. Officials for private gains.
Don’t you think the major reason of early PIA’s success was primarily because of the absence of competition, rather than their performance and hard work?
So PIA was a private company to start with! State owned enterprises cannot compete with private enterprises especially in PAK where PPEPRA rules mean that SOE has to wait 3 -6 months or even to open bids and rebids to do anything. Its high time PIA adopts free market to compete in the modern world!

Sir down fall of pia started by Zia ul Haq in 1980. and he had imposed martial law on it in 1981. Sacked 7500 employees. All honest and hardworking employees started to leave the organisation. Zia started to appoint military officers in place of them whom has no qualifications and experience to run the airline. However they looted and destroyed the airline with in ten years. Favouritism, nepotism and induction of retired airforce officers.played a havoc role of loot and plunder. Unfortunately in both civilian rule of Nawz sharif and Banizir Bhutto, they applied the same policy and inducted their political affiliated workers. Honest loyal and hardworking workers left the airline and joined the gulf airline. Zardari and Nawaz sharif took bribes from gulf’s airlines and sold the roots that pia occupied since fifties and sixties.open sky policy by Nawaz sharif and changes in civil aviation rules in favour of gulf airlines also nose dived this Airline. Free travel of our civil and military bureaucracy and their families all over the world. Free travel of MNA, MPA, senators also nosedived this airline financially as an employee I witnessed the rise and fall of this airline. After the fall of Dacca. How Mr Rafiq sehgul rebuilt this airline is another story.

Sir G saaf baat krain ye PIA nawaz o bhutto o zardari nay daboi hay. na sirf PIA, Railway, PTCL, Steelmill, KESC or LESC etc, all of these giant profitable companies were destroyed by nawaz o zardari in the last 35 years starting from 1990 just for their personal interest, kick backs, political appointments, unprofessional and even un eligible staff hiring krwa krwa kr. I have travelled to few other airlines, including international ones, seriously have never seen witches like pia even to extent that the head air hostess aged above 50 (budhi ghori laal lagam) was drunk as an incident happened with my wife during the flight and she and all other came to help, sharab k bhapkay arahay thay mohtarma k mo say aur full tun dramay baazzi lagai hoi thi.
