@@anasbtr but to fly the airplane not anyone could do that. 35,000 feet in the air going 530 miles an hour. Flying though storms.. I salute them.. all🫡

A big bravo for these pilots . Up in the air in dark nights and be able to navigate to where the destination will be situated. Just amazing

When you’re exiting the aircraft, the pilots will have their door open and they’ll be standing. Tell them that you appreciate what they do.

Yes on a longer route you always have crew A and B. Pilots need enough rest.

wow ! this is interesting. I wish passengers could also be seeing them haha. what if we have street-like simulations like this in the night that mimics the earth and looks like an upward extension of earth of the earth. ..... just thinking out loud 😊

google maps or apple maps on their mobile devices comes to rescue. :3

Yes we have multiple systems that can help us we can use radio wave navigation

They go old school and do it by radar vectors from ATC, radio beacons (VOR/NDB), and if all alse fails, dead reckoning (heading and distance from the last known waypoint).

living just 2 miles from O'Hare airport and under a common takeoff path for commercial aircraft going northeast, I marvel anytime one passes overhead.....truly marvels of engineering..... can someone give me any tips to help easily identify the most common different planes from underneath as they pass over.....thanks

If you see exposed tires (main gear) underneath the plane, its most commonly a Boeing 737.

They should have mentioned that most way point names are gibberish but meant to be easily readable and pronounceable for pilots all over the world.

They should acknowledge that way points are over land only, not fluid throughout the earth. Why is that?

If few thousand miles distance then a twin cities separate 50 miles is undistinguishable if constructed well therefore each airline must invest in their own well kept secret way point system for safety in these treacherous water. Remember Korean Air 007 got shot over Russia because of thus problem and it now pointed to a secret research of kidnapped air plane without a hitch

KAL007 was before GPS systems were enabled for civilian aircraft. The aircraft was not in INS mode but still in Heading mode and the crew did not realise
