Hello :) Dancing on pointe can be quite "dangerous" if you do it the wrong way, so I would NEVER advise anybody to start on their own. Perhaps you could talk to your teacher to see what you can do. No matter how long you've been dancing, whether you're ready or not mostly depends on your strength, your muscles, ... I hope it helps you :)

You could go to a different company permanently or partially and take some classes and maybe get to go on pointe

Really focus on your technique in class and do 16 releves on each leg in the centre or at home and don't ask your teacher about getting pointe shoes often. You have to have good weight placement on pointe so focus on that in class too. Your teacher will see when you're ready! :)

You can't start pointe until your teacher thinks you are ready. When you first start you do it all on flat with ballet slippers. You will be learning fundamental movements and you have to constantly build up strength. Then you do pre pointe / demi pointe classes before you are even allowed to start pointe work. Before you start pointe you have to be strong and have correct technique but your teacher will tell you when you are ready. But don't let this discourage you! It took me three years but it was so worth the wait because I felt ready. And it varies from person to person but hope that answers your question!

But I still am mesmerized by it and will never forget that it’s AMAZE) but still, thank for the info! This totally answered my question. 😊

@@livy4954 Aww even though you won't be able to do pointe work at home I urge you to look at ballet videos on you tube! There are so many wonderful ones for free on youtube! For a range of levels. And it is just so fun to get your body moving!
