After watching season 9 and discovering that it was actually good, I found my self asking the inevitable... Are we to believe that this is some sort of magic xylophone? Discord / discord
very quickly. I remember watching every episode during my late school years together with a friend. then there was one season where we were like "OK not the best". and then 1 season later we switched off during an episode and watched something else.
When Disney erased Apu, it was dead. Before that, it was meh. Lets be honest, The Simpsons never got much better than Who Shot Mr Burns? Then again, i thought the movie was pretty great.
Season 15 is the best of the silver age in my opinion Season 9 is also a guilty pleasure of mine but that's probably because I'm a sucker for good Lisa Episodes Season 13 I absolutely hated as it has a lot of Homer screaming in that season & a lot of bad & mediocre episodes like The Sweetest Apu The Frying Game Weekend at Burnsie's The Old Man And The Key, Gump Roast its the worst of the silver Era for me.
Around the time Lisa became a radical feminist and we had entire episodes all about Lisa complaining about the size of mannequins, that was the start of the end for me. I started tuning out when I realised an episode was focused on Lisa, and not long after that I lost interest altogether. It's not the same show anymore, the characters are different and Flanderised (Homer- stupid, Bart- Stupid, Lisa- annoying, Marge- whatever it is she does) and the writers are different. The jokes and storylines we laughed at in the early days just won't happen anymore because that isn't what today's writers can do.
