How rare are grolar bears? 

There have long been reports of hybrid bears in the Northwest Territories. A mix between a grizzly and a polar bear, they're often referred to as either grolar bears or pizzlies. A new study shows us these unique creatures are rare, and confirms they're all descendants of one rather "strange" female polar bear. The CBC's Liny Lamberink explains how.
