I am russian girl (I am not aggressor and I am against war of Putin's dictatorship) from Western Sibiria, Novosibirsks. I am life on the Transsibirian magistral and I drive by train into Sibiria every week and two weeks. I like that a people from all world recently love russian culture, read russian literature and see russians are not only terrorists and imperialists. Crime government will have a punishments. I hope Russia will become normal european country with democratic state, developed economic and developed tourist's industry. I want to work in tourist's industry in democratic Russia.

I don't think it's correct to put it like this. Pirogova's suicide was one of the things that inspired Tolstoy to write/that he used in his writing, but she was not real-life Karenina.

That seems to be true.In fact a famous literary critic,George Steiner, wrote, a book Tolstoy or Dostoevsky on that very subject.

It's probably my favorite adaptation! I recently re-watched it and I fell in love with it once again. The first time I focused more on Anna's storyline, but now I noticed how great were Karenin, Oblonsky. There were so many details and specific changes from the novel that I missed the first time.

This is incredibly ironic because I'm currently reading Don Quixote right now! 📖💕
