So much FOMO for the Stone Sky!! That TBR tin will never be empty 😂😂 Saying that, I shouldn’t really be throwing stones from my glass castle of failed goals 😆 I feel like one of my goals should have been keeping your TBR above 150 - then I’d be doing pretty well 😂😂
You are smashing it at keeping my TBR above 150 mate! Kudos for that. The glass castle of failed goals sounds like the name of my end of the year video. Poor TBR tin. Such a cool tin. So stubbornly full of book names as I merrily read all the new incoming books. 😂 The Stone Sky is awesome. You should get it, and you should read it. Forget all the other books. 😂
You always give yourself too much to do,no wonder you slump. Thrilled you are feeling able to twang! You are doing really well.Glad you had some great five star reads.
You are doing amazingly well Alice. I think you always stretch yourself with your goals and the fact that you make them difficult to achieve just means you get a lot ready each year 🫡
Thanks Al. I think it’s best to make goals realistically achievable but it can be a bit boring if they are too easy. Hope your reading is going well. 😊📚
I think you are doing really well this year. Being kind to yourself should always be a no 1 priority. I definitely want hunt out that April favourite 😉❤
Sounds like you are meeting most of your goals! Glad you are DNFing more 🙂. My reading year is going well! My favorite read so far was The Last Devil to Die by Osman, and my biggest surprise was the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. Who knew I like vampires, daemons, and witches - lol. Now I need to find a Stevenson book... Enjoy your reading journey!!
Thanks BJ. Glad to hear you’ve had some good surprises too. I need to read some more of the Richard Osman books, I’ve only read the first one so far. Recommend starting Stevenson with the first one Everyone in my Family Has Killed Someone so that the second one makes total sense. 😊📚
You are doing really well sweetie and I hope the slump goes well. Fancy booking a buddy read for the flight of the falcon so we can both read it. I’m getting more into fantasy too but mine is middle grade and YA
Love this vlog….. my reading is a bit slow and his year but I’m enjoying what I’m reading……. I’m also doing the Agatha Christie challenge and loving what I’ve read so far…. One a month….. Love your Hercule Poirot so much I’ve asked my Mum to make me one :) x
I think this is what I keep reminding myself, it doesn’t matter how much or how fast you read, enjoyment is more important. I meant to do the Agatha Christie challenge too (although they are rereads for me), but I’ve not managed to squeeze them in. Maybe I will catch up. Thank you, I really enjoyed making Poirot, I even made a video way back of making him. 😊📚
@@portsmouthcatsitting hi, it’s quite an old video and I don’t often do vlog style so it’s not especially a helpful video but here it is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w4dg0asFv0A.htmlsi=TzdRg3L2EuhoKnBL
Yay I think I might be getting the hang of it now! But do you never start to worry you’re just going to DNF everything? Those both sound exciting, I must pick up some more Horowitz! 😊📚
In the first ¼ of 2024 50 books 15,703 pages 4-1☆, 4-2☆, 14-3☆ 28-4☆, 0-5☆ 35 written by women 15 written by men A new favorite series The Last Binding by Freya Marske 2024 release I've yet to get to Sunbringer by Hanna Kaner (I would be reading it now but my tbr is very very crowded at the moment) March was my slump month but the movie novelization of Godzilla x Kong fixed that!
@@AliceandtheGiantBookshelf It's two books that have made me cry now, the other one was The Hidden Guardian by J.D.L Rosell (it's book 3 in an obscure series I've been following for years)
