Just a reminder that in your practice shots, you were hitting them further than real life because you're up on a platfom. You're not level with the ground.

Great vid boys. Been playing this game for months and in order to make putting and chipping more realistic change the greens to slow and the power of your chipper and putter to 50% in the game. Much more realistic

If Golf+ and Eleven Table Tennis were the only two apps available for the Quest 2, it would still be worth the purchase price.

I'm not a golfer. I used to go to driving ranges with friends to mess around and been to top golf a couple times. This game is so much fun. Also now it has a media player so you can play what ever music you want. Lots of fun even if you aren't a huge golfer

The putting is really great. Also very underrated...being able to play with friends across the country. My brother and I have our phone calls while playing golf now. Coast to coast, so cool.

Watched this video....went immediately to buy 2 units for my husband and me plus 2 club attachments. Have been playing Golf+ every night since. We love playing golf outside of course, but living in Canada, it is not always possible in winter months. You can set the "power" on your clubs to make it closer to your real swing. Loveeeee this VR game. So fun.

I have this game it is pretty dope. We were in Monterey having a golf weekend and this was the star of the weekend. Love the channel, been rewatching videos for about 2-weeks. Getting fitted for Titleist’ irons and driver at a Titleist event Saturday. Stoked!!!

The game has evolved soooo much over time that I forgot it used to look so cartoony. Now it looks so much more realistic, it's insane!

Excellent vid, thank you! I've been playing a lot of Walkabout Mini-Golf in VR (which I would highly recommend), but I may have to give Golf+ a try as well. The idea of getting to play through full courses is enticing.

There are so many other options out there for golf club adapters. The dead eye at $90 is double the price of better tracking options like RM Designs and SOSTech around $50. There are also off-hand only adapters like MrTass and VirtualPrintality for $15 to $25.

The furthest I’ve been able to drive (carry distance) was 348yds, rolled to 360. I find this game so amazing due to the fact that club distances vary with swing speed, club face rotation, and multiple other variables that come with playing non-virtual golf. This game has taught me the first steps of how to start controlling every aspect of my game. (Started to learn how to control when I would like to hit fades/draws, as well as learning to add distance to shots while keeping my shot arc less vertical but rather more horizontal)The biggest challenge will be taking what I’m learning through this game, and applying it on an actual course/driving range. Nonetheless, my very favorite purchase on my Quest 2 and I can always look forward to getting in a round or 2 whether it’s rain, sleet, or shine!

I loved it for a day then had to give it up because it screws up swing tempo on the actual golf course after swinging that light controller so many times. Definitely a fun game though and a great option for scratching the itch in winter/off season.

Honestly playing online with buddies in the house being able to drink beer at home is amazing and yes the deadeyevr is a game changer.

Honestly if you consider that games like this are just the start, you can see mostly that there's a ton of potential. These are all still, relatively speaking, minor projects and games and the tech is only now becoming available (and worth it) to mainstream consumers. If you'd get an AAA golfing game in like 5 years, on hardware from that time... it still wouldn't be like real life, but it'd be more than cool enough to have golf fans actually playing it when they can't get out on the course for whatever reason. And that's absolutely awesome. IMHO this is already more than worth it, of course. But as you said: this is very much a game, not a simulator. But can a realistic golfing sim be done in VR? Oh yes, very much so. Same goes for games like table tennis, badminton etc as they're fairly easy to mimic with controller addons and haptic feedback. Plus the simulation isn't *too* complex.

I have one of these clubs, it also comes in handy with the pro-fishing vr game!!! feels like a reel fishing rod when you pull in a bass or a yellow fin tuna!! Cheers!!!

Great video! I need to order one. I think the reason your getting a little more distance is because they probably calibrated the distance to those holding the controller. You're probably getting much more velocity due to that awesome golf grip. Love the fact that you can move your power to compensate.

I'm 67 yrs old and haven't played real golf in over 10 years. I am sold on this game! It's fantastic. For more fun, Walkabout Mini Golf is a must have as well.

2 years down the line and I have all of the courses and updates, and this game is still excellent with improved graphics, dynamics and usability. You can play it on your own or with several friends. There are 3 levels of difficulty. Novice, Amateur, Pro. Novice is for fun for everyone of varying hand/eye coordination, and you get loads of help. Amateur immediately starts to sort out the potential golfers from the players who aren't going to prosper, and the aids start to disappear. Pro is just bloody difficult, as real professional golf is. You're on your own at this level. I've played half a round at Pro. It was so difficult it almost put me off. 😁

I see this being great for getting my kids introduced to the game. Gotta check this out! Great video fellas!

Awesome review! My only suggestion is turning the controller 180 and strapping it down on the right side. To me it makes the club feel super 1:1 as far as the angle.

I also bought the quest 2 and the first game I bought was the golf+ and found it amazing. You need to know that you can adjust the settings as you get better or worst, but you start from amateur to pro, but for the price it a good job done. I like the app

My 11 year old son said he was interested in learning golf. I don't know much about it. This VR option seems like a great place to start!

Actual golfer here, i go in real life 4-5 days out of the week, also have an active membership. That said, golf plus is fucking amazing. I love it, even tho i golf during the day, before i go to bed i play a round or two on the quest 2. I love it, super realistic and can even help you improve your slice/hook in your swing.

A good video. I have this system and i LOVE it. I really would like to see a video on the swing analyzer portion. Either it isnt really close or my swing needs work. Its probably me. Getting to a golf course after using this a lot. I couldnt connect with a ball at all. It messed me up, but I still play it often. Very fun and im 60yrs old.

Golf+ is an amazing game it's so much fun for 30 dollars it has so many features and there are more updates to come 10/10 would recomend

I've had my Quest 2 headset since 2020, a year before full course golf was available. The first 2 games I bought were Top Golf (now labeled Golf+) and Walkabout Mini-Golf (fun for all). It was a full year before full course golf was released and in the 5 months since there have been great improvements and updates made, and more courses and improvements will continue. There is another golf game worth owning (and reviewing) Golf 5 eClub for only $20. It has better resolution than Golf+ and I prefer it's multiplayer mode. It's more like real golf if the HPC (High Precision) setting box is checked, and this setting includes launch monitor info! There's also a golf commentator and audience sounds that can be turned off, and other settings available. One big difference is you have to choose your own club for each shot like in real golf. I like both games a lot, I play them both often, both are worth the price, and there are pros and cons to both. This is just the start for in-home VR golf and it's wonderful for those of us who live in northern climates, and fun to chat with other golfers while playing a round. It's only going to get better in the years to come, and very affordable for the average person. Thanks for the review, keep them coming!

Having the controller out at the end of a club, even one as sort as that, will impart much more swing speed than if you have the controllers in your hands. That’s why the distances are exaggerated. I can’t wait to try this!

Been tempted by this and might give it a go since I have the Quest 2, but tough to compete with the feel of my Optishot2 (close to same price as vr system). I’m wondering about how you guys have been enjoying Optishot Vision? Saw the build vids but would love to see a stroke match between you guys on the Vision!!!

Wow....I've had my Oculus for about a year now. Love Eleven. I like some of the other games and features also. I disc golf but I don't play golf golf. Love golf video games...I'm going to buy this game. Hopefully I can find a "club" that costs less than $90. This is gonna be great.

I Googled amazon deadeye vr golf and it came right up. Looks perfect.

Not golf related but one thing you need to try if you got a buddy that also has a quest is playing „Space Pirate Arena“, it’s a game mode in „Space Pirate Trainer DX“ where you need a 10x10m empty space, max out your guardian and play 1vs1 space shooter actions by actually running around. It’s a little tough to set up first time but once it’s done, it’s absolutely mind blowing running through a virtual arena and shooting lasers on each other. One of the coolest things I have ever expierenced

This app helped me get rid of my slice. You definitely don’t want to always be using it for practice but it is pretty decently realistic

I think what makes it cool is you can play this with friends that live far or overseas. Spending time in game with virtual avatars of your friends is hilarious fun and you get a decent game of golf in too. You can also get fishing, bowling, pool/snooker, poker, paintball, etc etc games on the Quest to play with friends.

Just got Walkabout Mini Golf….it is very entertaining and I highly recommend it for a relaxing game…very immersive VR experience.

I have an oculus and this game and love to golf. When I tell my friends about it I tell them to not take the distances serious but the decision making between hitting front green and rolling on and then possibly hitting middle but rolling off is still there 100% . From my experience the controller as a training aid is best at getting your wrist angle to a better place as really rewards a good hit when pushing that lead wrist through. Also i think most takeaways if you do take any should come from putting and short chipping as really teaches feel. Love the content and not a normal commenter but would love to see y'all turn up[ the difficulty on golf+ and do a video 9 hole versus would be a cool video and if you haven't played with the difficulty setting on game you will have a blast. Much Love!

Been playing golf for 15+ years, and bought oculus for golfing in the winter time here in Norway, been playing golf+ a lot, but recently been playing golf 5 eclub and that feels way more real when it comes to length etc. Would be great to see you guys trying that one out..

It's dope! But I would love to see Intelligent glasses combined with an actual tracking like GC3/GCQuad to get accurate distances! Always thought of VR but would be hard to hit the ball with an actual club and that on. lol!

Power variation is most likely due to the Amazon grip device. Due to the increased radius of the path, controller likely moves faster than what the game expects it to move when held in hand.

What a great review! But the Elite Strap with Battery is a must. I got so hooked on the golf game that the normal battery runtime wasn’t enough. Like you said, I don’t think it is a proper replacement for practice or a simulator. But it is a ton of fun and you can work up a sweat and get moving. It also gets you thinking about how course management.

the golf club makes a real good golf vr game and if you like disk golf off the chain is a great game
