The B movie tropes were what made the original RE4 so fun. I just loved how Leon was so badass but could also be lovably cringe. One thing I am very sad about is that Saddler doesn’t ham it up with Leon in the Remake. When those two traded banter, it was great. The Remake definitely is amazing 9-10/10 level stuff but the original just felt that extra step more confident in itself.
I thought it would just be the first three that would be remade, to update the clunky tank controls into the current over-the-shoulder perspective; RE4 still felt modern and like the basis for all the games since, so I felt it would have been trying to fix something that wasn't broken. I'm glad I was proven wrong though as I loved the remake. Thanks for watching!
