I don't think it's only limiteds at risk here. Every single hat ever made that can be copied is fucking doomed. It doesn't matter if it's a rare offsale item, someone elses UGC creation that's popular or an obscure limited, once public UGC hits all of them might as well be worth nothing. You'll have people copying every single remotely popular item including other UGC. Assuming of course Roblox does nothing about it. There will also be an absurd amount of IP violations as people start uploading straight up 1:1 3d models and textures out of other video game series or shows. It will be the end of an era in the sense that hats lose their identity. No hat is special, everyone has everything and you might as well wear whatever the fuck you want since you're not going to look apart.
I feel you bro roblox limiteds aren't special anymore with all this ugc crap. It used to be cool and special to see people in game with valkyries and dominus, but now it is not cool anymore to see people wearing a valk or dominus on due to people being able to just buy one off the catalog for 200 robux

It's awful that people that spent hundreds of $ or really worked their way up to be able to buy real limited items/rare offsales are just getting slapped in the face like this. Imagine you buy a Lamborghini when you're an adult and you pay 200k for it and some poor guy from the street is being able to buy an exact copy of your car for only 10k 1 year later. came across these comments on copied ugc items

Roblox gave up deleting fake roblox limited copies, like.. they are so many like probably over 15K or something even more.. is there any other possible way to stop this xD
@@jonathanc2295I disagree with u cus most of roblox player base is kids, and the fake stuff is so common now that most people don’t even both looking at the stuff fake limiteds other ppl wear. I believe that all the imitations increased the value and demand of certain limiteds even more.
Its gotten to the point where if you own the real thing, people cant Tell its real, they dont care, they make fun of you for wasting your time and money on that. I really loved when the catalog was just limiteds and stuff roblox made because it allowed people to be so creative

I got Ice valk at my most valuable limited and I am just watching how it's going up a little, then crashes far down. It's very annoying and it's frustrating knowing that Roblox probably either don't care, or don't know how to moderate it. I can only imagine how is it for all the other limiteds going down, just bc of these stupid UGC limited rip-offs. Roblox have had this problem for a while, but it's now that it's really really bad. Roblox has taken a huge L, and I hold some UGC rip offs accountable for it. That's why I now adays just play roblox and watch rolimon graphs crash XD UGC was made for people to be able to be "creative" and create items of their own, that doesn't mean ripping off real limiteds and messing up the entire market for every invester (limited trader/buyer) and The ones who own expensive limiteds are taking the punch. I hope that UGC is either enforcing and implements more rules of what UGC you can upload. This is just my opinion, please don't comment that I'm wrong, instead give me your opinion!

You have to tae into consideration that majority of the dominus builds are usually taken down, all of the current ones are offsale for a reason. The moment they go up they strike down.

Limited market has been screwed ever since the trade system got added, i’ve been saying it since 2012 and I still feel that way 11 years later. Finally got myself a dominus emp for 1250 though because of the terrible moderation on ugc’s kekw
The trading system was always a good feature, before that we would have to sell items for a very small price to trade them around, unimaginable now. UGC creators having massively disdisposable income is the nail that sealed the coffin.
Fakes are cheaper has most myself including can't afford the limited items so fakes in theory will sell better than being said would prefer own the real stuff since can't stick to the actual custom created content thats not just imitation of the real thing
