How Roon Labs has Changed the Audiophile Music-Streaming Game - SoundStage! Talks (October 2021) 

I have been running it for 3 years. It is a fantastic product for which no other that I know can offer the same functionality. Would I like some features added, sure. But in the meantime it’s the best I can find. First on my wish list is integration with other stream services. Thanks Soundstage for the interview.

Love RooN .. changes finding music forever

excellent product. Tidal and Roon completely re-ignited my interest in music. Running a Mytek Manhattan II with streaming card. Awesome fidelity.

It would be nice if they would come up with some kind of room correction like Dirac or something! For now there's not many products on the market for room correction.... we have NAD m33 and Anthem and Paradigm but I sincerely believe that room correction is very important in the sound quality. Sure there's DSP on laptop but for those who wants a clean install and a short signal there's not much offering... What is your thought Jeff? 🤔

Love Roon so much! Esp. ever since the miniDSP SHD has been certified Roon ready and now allows for direct volume control. Also really like the ability to directly stream to Sonos speakers outside the main room. The only feature I'd love to see is Atmos audio and the ability to group devices of different protocols. E.g. Sonos + RAAT or RAAT + Airplay.

I tried for 3 days and cancelled the free trial. I don't rip CD's. I have a high end CD player so I just play my CD's. In Canada we don't have Qobuz and they don't support Deezer Hi-Fi. In Can $ this is 150/month and 850 for lifetime, way to much to just use my Tidal account. I also did extensive A/B BluOS Tidal/ Roon Tidal through my BluOS and found minimal difference.

While I really like Roon, there is still room for improvements. However it‘s sad that Roon Labs doesn‘t listen to the users and what they suggest. A product hat always to satisfy its users not the manufacturer. Even with version 1.8 there are still basic features missing. For instance a good search function. Until today, when you look for a certain artist, Roon will find full albums of her/him, but not compilations where he/she appears on a single track. Repeated requests for this since 2017/18 remain ignored.

I am goons try Room on my old MacBook 12” with Allo Boss 2 DAC Hope room can make a software that controls the miniDSP 2x4hd with more functions miniDSP is a hardware company not software. Maybe easier REW Does room work on Apple TV 4K
