This is the first episode in my weather and lighting mod comparison series. It focuses on those mods which seem to be primarily authored by Arindel.
This series will compare vanilla weather with the various weather and lighting mods available (at the time of video composition) for the Anniversary Edition of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PS5. There will be 6 episodes in this series. Each episode will feature the same series overview and conclusion if you wish to save time when watching by making use of the chapter markers.

Great videos! I watched all of them because I was so unsure which weather mod I wanted to use, all of your videos showed them off nicely and helped me decide that I wanted to give Obsidian Weathers a shot! Thank you! :)

After checking out all your videos so far, I can say with confidence that Obsidian Weathers keeps being the best looking PS4 weather mod of them all: Middays have harsher lighting, making them feel natural. Nights look dark with bright light sources at a distance (some mods use filters that make said sources become tinted with the atmospheric colors) and the volumetric rolling fogs give so much personality to mountains and distant landscapes. The mod also includes 3D falling snow, and rain/storm SFX inside buildings. Your videos have finally allowed me to decide with confidence what is, in my opinion, the best weather mod on Playstation. Good stuff, bro. Keep up the good work.👍

I do have two more weather comparisons coming, so it is possible you might see something you like in one of those, but Obsidian is really amazing. I used it for a really long time. Those fogs are outstanding.

Beautifully made video! Very informative. I'm looking for a new weather mod for my next play-through. Not keen on the very red dusk ones. Thanks to this mod I discovered Surreal Lighting and I think that might be the one I go for this time! Thank you

I am a german girl who has just started modding Skyrim on the PS4. I stumbled across your videos because I wanted input. Do you still play Skyrim? Thanks for your work with these videos, much appreciated! May I ask what L.O. you have? Not every single mod, just how you placed them? What mods first, then the next block etc. I am very confused, because everyone says sth else. Weather up or low, stuff like Pretty roads above or below city mods...things like that. Could you help me? Thank you and greetings from Germany. 🖤

Hello from the U.S.! I do still play Skyrim. It is a game I go back to periodically. It is like comfort food, like macaroni and cheese--I am unsure if mac'n cheese means the same in Germany as it does here, but hopefully you get the idea. I appreciate you enjoying the videos. In terms of load orders, I generally start by following a PC load order hierarchy. However, I incorporate any recommendations from the mod authors. Some of the mod authors also have Discords I have joined to get input on load orders, which can be helpful as well. You are the second person who has asked about load orders. I don't consider myself an expert, but perhaps I will make a video at some point discussing them.
