I think I like the ending theme the most. just has a very bittersweet tone to it which I really like another musical anime I really like is Nerima Daikon Brothers, tho the songs in that anime somehow feels more repetitive and formulaic than the ones in this anime.

Penguin drum had a musical theme. And these two have interesting similarities with having one main musical them repeating in every episode. You should cover Penguin drum not enough people respect it. Also my favourite song in is the one with the cops I have no idea what that’s called “something sexy” lol. Wonderful video !!

I've really been enjoying the series and how the musical elements really frame the story-I feel like even aside from musical theater itself sarazanmai feels very theatrical with a lot of nonliteral elements overall, which is typical of ikuhara....As far as other TV shows that use the musical format, it's interesting that you mention it because I've been watching "Crazy Ex Girlfriend" which utilizes lots of classic musical theater elements both in the framing of the story itself as well as in numbers that are used to propel the story forward/explore character emotions as the story goes on

Honestly, I never thought of this show as a musical and but now I definitely recognize the musical elements. I'm really glad you posted this! One thing I would add though is that it be smart to break your video into segments; or at least pause after each major point. It feels like I watched one beautiful, well thought out run on sentence lol

what a fantastic topic to analyze, and you wrote it so well! it's not something that many people are talking about, but i think understanding the show's unusual structure as an homage to musicals is pretty essential to enjoying it.

the only problem I have with this anime is Enta my problem is not who he is but the fact that he doesn't changes or grow every other character goes throught stuff and grows while Enta never changes and doesn't do anything to repair the things he did wrong and ends up in the end with the group all happy toghether I swear he never apologized to Toi for the sh*t he did
