My Dad grew up in Tanglin Halt as a lil kid, early 70s. Showed him this video. This video made him nostalgic, this neighborhood, once his home and now seeing it in a state like this only reminds him about the passage of time. You've made my old man a fan of yours. We've been binging all of your videos afterwards too.
Me too! I grew up in the late 80s till the 90s there. Blk 36. Catching spiders near the railway, those 10/20 cents ice lollies (air batu sarsi flavour etc) ice kacang at the market, playing nintendo/sega behind a shop near the market. Nostalgic!
as a '90s kid who grew up in tanglin halt, i can only say the neighbourhood used to be somewhat of a giant retirement village - just lotsa old people chilling about, minding their own business. it honestly is quite sad to see it in its current state and i would think any ghosts there would probably just be the many old souls who used to reside there in the first place.
same. it's not as lively as it used to be. I grew up with my cousins in tanglin halt. I remember there was a dome shelter and a futsal court near my grandmother's place. Sad to see the current state of the neighborhood being left abandoned.
Human souls go to Heaven or hades immediately after death, and no longer able to wander on earth. The ghosts or spirits people encountered are all 100% demons, disguising themselves as deceased human beings like family members to deceive people that there's life after death where there's no accountability to God or judgment, just freely roaming the earth? No, there is judgment from God on all human beings and we all have to give account to Him on the things we have done and said in our lives living on earth! This is why we instinctingly feel afraid of ghosts, even if we may think it was our deceased family member but no, it is a demon, an enemy of God that has no purpose but to roam the earth seeking to kill, steal and destroy human beings.
I lived at tanglin halt my whole life, am currently 18. recently, around august of last year we relocated to margaret drive. I have such fond and memorable experiences living there and honestly just miss the place. Seeing sushii explore the estate gives me a sense of nostalgia and reminded me about the good old times
I have never been that much into paranormal YT channels but for some reason you crossing into this kind of content still keeps me engaged. It just might be about your personality and style, Sushii! Thanks for the great videos.
Cuz he has the guts to do so. But he should probably bring along a few psychics with him, at least one, cuz after going through so many haunted places, there will be chances that one or more entity might have followed him. It is best to get a psychic to help detect if there is any and stop them.
Lived at Block 58 for most of my life, only moved out around 2 years ago. Was really interesting to see some exploration of the now abandoned blocks compared to what I used to see
My grandparents lived in block 61 I used to go visit them every week. But just before Covid around 2020, the entire estate was being prepared to be torn down, so slowly, more residents moved out. My grandparents were one of the last. It was always very creepy there. It will be torn down in the next year or so.
My grandparents lived here all their lives and tanglin halt was and will always hold fond childhood memories:( seeing this doesn’t scare me, I miss the old times!!
Many ppl in the comment section has parent's or grandparent's that used to live at Tangling Halt. Nothing can ever take away the happy memories of the place 😇
New subscriber here! I got really surprised when shushi started whistling to call ghosts. It's said that whistling in night is like an invitation for ghosts. Can't wait to see more of these.
There were actually a lot of signs of a paranormal presence. For example, the noise in the living room at the one unit, and then the street light turning off while near it. The light turning off is what happens for me every time I feel scared or nervous for my safety in public, if a light goes off it means that nothing will harm me & I’ll be safe. I have proven this to be true multiple times throughout the years. Because every single time the light doesn’t go off something dangerous, scary, or nearly bad happens. It’s always streetlights for me. Personally, I think it’s my spirit guides. 😊
I've heard of explanations that street lights flickering are actually warnings from the local deity (土地公) telling you to go home instead of lingering around that area. I would say spirit guides are accurate :)
Hi Sneaky sushi! Will you ever consider going to nearby countries like Indonesia or Malaysia to do paranormal investigations? For example The Dead Village Of Bantan known as “Kampung Mati” in Indonesia? It is freaking haunted and you can find many videos on tiktok, some even on tiktok live. They capture voices of kids laughing and shadowy figures.
Grew up in that neighbourhood. Mine was block 36. Shifted out in 1987. So many memories. Was an awesome and colourful neighbourhood. The railroad tracks used to have lots of stories
@@ReeRaRoo heres 1 question for you...that im not understanding enough... Which One Is Correct 1.Donuts 2.Doughnuts 3.Dough-nuts (I Bet You Know Where Did I Found This Question (._.')
If anyone reading this, there is a walled up house/unit at block 28/29. located at one of the higher levels, do be advised that the lift has a "mind" of it's own when we ventured there . . .
Sushi, i love your new hobby and I'm glad you're fully exploring it..just be careful to not bite more than you can chew.. I don't fully believe in ghosts and evil spirits stuff, but being careful doesn't hurt, does it?
next stop is Shih Chung Branch School, this building was once a magnificent mansion but has been left in a dilapidated state for years, and is now covered in overgrown plants and trees.
@@andrewcho6894 Sorry mate, that is just a Black Pidgeon. The beak is too stubby and it is too fat to be a Crow, which are very slim and sleek. Black Pigeons aren't very common in singapore, but they do turn up now and again.
The door banging tiktok video which you mentioned, yes you were right, he kicked the door open actually. But before that he heard the door “vibrated” on its own which prompted him to investigate further. I followed the actual live video of that footage :)
That only works when 50,000 people _actually_ lived there. Estates like these usually hold roughly a few hundred people per block, and that is only if each housing unit had about five, six or seven people per unit.
I'm a Native American living in the Southwestern US, and I was also raised with the prohibition on whistling and knocking at night. So when Sushii did both, I found myself cringing! I'm a grown-up, and that threw me back on my childhood, wow!
That also works. According to many a tale I have heard, Most Spirits like to avoid being caught on camera... But that doesn't mean they can evade Radiation Detecting equipment or Thermal Scanners. ...That being said, I think some just like Photobombing people. I mean, whenever people tend to catch photos of Ghosts, they usually weren't _looking_ for ghosts, and if they do manifest, it usually is because they want to tell people something.
We rented in Tanglin Halt for 6 years until early 2022 - block 32 on the 1st floor, with the back yard. It's really a nice, quiet neighborhood. As most of the occupants are senior citizens, they will be hanging about, or blasting their TV/radio and cooking in the kitchen. Never had any eerie feeling or encounter anything before. The units are old.... i remember that once in a blue moon, i hear running steps coming from the empty unit above us. It never bothered us enough to go investigate~ We recently revisited this place after supper (the economic noodle from the hawker is really good - ask for their special sambal), wasn't scary to us.. maybe cause we stayed there before :)
Sushi Kor Kor is literally now a literall ghostbuster and heading everywhere to terrorise our local spirits now. I srsly wish I had balls of steak like you. Tbh my school canteen has a spirit that roams around. My primary school operations manager said that when his security team was patrolling, he saw appiration at the canteen premises. He said I don’t need to wait until midnight, 8pm u can spot it alr. Consider going there with ur equipment.
New subscriber. So happy to have happened across you. Mature , not annoying voice and no overuse of the word “bro” 😂 Looking forward to many views when the lights go down ❤
I work nearby there, those blocked are suppose to be up for demolition. The folks that used to live there has already been "chased off" by the government. Covid has actually delayed most of the redevelopment work over there.
As someonewho lived in tanglin halt for 19 years since birth, before having to move to dawson d ue to end block, would agree that its a pretty scary place. Lived in blk 24, and sometimes when i came back home from school at end, can feel something really weird. If i rem correctly, one of the house is sealed off with chinese seals. Its a place that bring me nostalgia, but still a very scary place at times, especially at night.
Ever since watching Sushi's video at Spooner Rd, I'm loving his supernatural series and even my mom's laughing at Sushi's comments 😂 Curious to see how Sushi will fare spending the night at Sembawang Park and Kampong Wak Hassan. Challenge no?
Try the Old Changi hospital (if can go in or it's still there)!!! The last time I went there, I was just standing infront of the building and I literally felt really weak and felt like I wanted to pass out. It felt like there's a lot of pair of eyes are looking at me.. Ps. I fell sick for 1 week!!!
It was still there when I passed it by a few months ago while waiting for a bus. Place was certainly unsettling, and knowing the history, I can understand why it has such a dark presence. That being said, I told them to not bother me, to 'Go in peace' firmly. The Presences left me alone after that. Still, I would rather not go bother the place just for clout. Too many have perished on those grounds during the War, and they do not wish to be disturbed.
Gotta admit this type of content is what I like, not telling u to fully do these type of contents. But it's really interesting and hope to see u make more.
You can try block 36. My late parents and I used to stay at 5th storey. I had experienced violent attack and so were my cousins and aunt. We moved out as soon as we could when my dad found a new place to stay.
Did you see like at the part where you were outside when you heard a sound after that street light turned off and then you roamed a bit at 10:40 then after you heard a sound and you flashed your flashlight at that building I show something like a ghost there then when the flashlight's light was lowered a bit below that floor afterwards when it shines at that spot that ghost isn't there anymore.
When you pressed the lift, it started moving and it scared the birds because the lift probably hadn't moved in awhile. There might've been some birds in the elevator shaft or on top of it. A few birds got scared, scared the rest.
heres a kind tip for everyone who wanna explore haunted places, dont just use the lift in a place that is obviously abandoned , who knows when that thing gonna break
I love how real you are, you might not capture super crazy shit happening but in the end I'm still entertained because I know everything that's happening isn't some setup :D
So there is channel called “watchers”, and one of the ideas was talking to spirit in an accent from 1900s or talking to them in their native language. I thought this was good idea since maybe the spirits are not talking because they don’t understand what you are saying, I mean this place was built during the 1960s and was vacated at 2014, so probably a lot of elderly lived here who probably knew no English at the time. Also I heard a theory that some ghost don’t know they are dead or because they old they tend to have more manners so you have to greet them, introduce yourself and go in. Don’t just barge into someone’s house and just ask them random questions, if someone did that to you, you wouldn’t want to talk to them either
Hello!! I just wanna say i recently popped on your channel and I really appreciate your content ☺ From what I've understood you haven't always been making ghost hunting videos but I gotta say theyre amazing! From someone who hates horror and loves suppernatural i rlly like the fact that you don't make thing up just for clout and to scare people, which is rlly amazing in my opinion. Anyways keep up the good work and I'll be tagging along from now on :)
Hey man just found your channel and I like how diverse your content is I always wanted to be a RU-vidr but was scared of the difficulties of being a RU-vidr in Singapore but seeing kind of gives me a slight hope for it
7:00 the light on the lower flight of stairs to the left switched on, assuming they’re the motion-activated type which dim to save energy and only light up to full power when movement is detected….which means
I think it's a terrible waste of electrical power that the blocks' lights should still be operational when nobody lives here anymore. Shouldn't the government turn off all the lights? (That would add to the spookiness, too!)
Hi they actually did turn off the electricity and stuff but now they are using the space to do an social experiment sort of regarding noisy neighbour as seen in the mascot at 2.31 which then cause them to do rewriting to use electricity:)
I’ve waited for you video! Finallyyyyy! The one youtuber i’ve been waiting for! The last one spook me the most! Anyways just a suggestion, why not go and explore abandoned schools as well?
I really do not want to ruin everyone’s fun thinking this is a scary estate, but I’m sorry!!! I think everyone deserves to know, as much as there may be spirits there? The mascot at the start of the video is the mascot of this program done in the estates called “the noise lab”, so all the open windows and doors you see are most likely used by this program. I thought the lift should not have been working since when I went to the noise lab last week, they stated that the lifts were not in working condition. The things sushi detected may have been things left my the people from the noise lab. I believe it is safe to say that this place is NOT haunted. If I am not wrong, I went to block 55, so it cannot be possible that it is haunted. What the emf reader detects is most likely just electronics used by the noise lab which uses some of the blocks at this estate. Although it may be haunted too, I would like to say it most likely is not haunted. (It may have spirits too, but it is being used by the noise lab. Those rooms which are decorated are confirm used by the noise lab. Edit: I am pretty sure I went to block 55 for the noise lab experiment, so I think the knocking from the door which was said in the video was just from an employee :)
@@kalycarlghaha yea, most people think its haunted bc it’s dimly lit there, but I believe it isn’t bc I went there prev, so nothing to be scared of ! :D (for now lmao)
You film my grandma house. Remember Using to go there from 2002 until she pass away in 2022 just before the government forced and persuaded the residents out😭 the mermories man.😭😭
i was there few mths back late at night after i missed the last train and decided to explore a bit. I walked all the way to a park alone around 2am. Then i turned and walked back to the commonwealth MRT to take a cab home. Feeling nothing, I was more worried about police patrol cars or stray dogs. Gonna have problem explaining why I was there at 2am in the morning. lol
i accidentaly find your channel, and im so glad that you're debunking your own emf meter, and not faking anything for the sake of views..im subscribing to you now
